    Pros +

    • Our rooms were spacious city view rooms. The bathrooms were large with walk in showers. The breakfast was great, with made to order omelettes. The staff was exceptionally helpful and hospitable. They offered us a free ride to the airport for having stayed with them twice. The hotel is very close to Train Street, an amazing experience.
    • Good location quiet area a few blocks from Train Street reception staff very friendly they gave me good advice on getting around Hanoi rooms excellent great facilities good choice of breakfast both hot and cold foods
    • Very friendly staff, nice very large bed, clean.

    Cons -

    • The hotel has two entrances on two different streets. Google Maps and other navigation apps seem to be set to go to the entrance that is on a street that doesn't allow cars, Ng. Tram. Make sure to tell your driver to go to the entrance on P. Ha Trung, otherwise you'll be lugging your luggage down Ng. Tram street to get to the hotel entrance.
    • the front door of hotel is locked late at night so you have to wait to be let in not a major problem as there was always a porter nearby to unlock the door but seemed a little unnecessary..
    • Wait about 1 minute before shower water is hot.

All their staff were very accommodating. We had a concern in our room and they attended it immediately and even gave us complementary fruits with a handwritten note card next day to apologize

We had such a wonderful stay! The location was perfect—especially convenient for tour pickups—and the breakfast buffet was absolutely delicious (the omelets were a standout!). But what truly made our experience unforgettable was the incredible staff. The front desk team was consistently cheerful, attentive, and went above and beyond to help with anything we needed. Their warmth and efficiency made our time in Vietnam feel extra special. ?✨

It was great! Location is right in the middle of Old Quarter, and it was fairly easy for tour buses to find it to pick us up from.

All was good, comfortable rooms, close to old town, good breakfast... They even upgraded our room. Overall good value for money

Nothing really for that price. In Europe it will cost 100+ eur

Breakfast was ok. The biggest issue was the building construction that was being undertaken next door. Kanga hammers began hammering from 7.00am every morning of our four day stay.

The location was perfect and Train street within 5 mins walk.

Location was fantastic! We had interconnecting rooms which was great for our family of 11 & 13. Rooms were basic but had what we needed. Comfortable beds. The staff were brilliant, special thanks for Mr Jonathan who was so helpful!

There was a lot of noise from building work being done opposite the hotel at the back. When we got there we just wanted a few hours of rest in the afternoon but couldn't because of the drilling. We also didn't have windows which wasn't ideal but to be honest we weren't in the rooms much and the location was soo good it made up for it.

The staff are very kind and helpful and the location is perfect if you want to start your trip to Hanoi in Old Quarter. The breakfast was also good.

If you could simply inform your customers (with passive-aggressive signs) that they cannot debate in the corridor after 10 p.m., that would be a huge plus.

On arrival they told us we could not stay in this hotel as there was an issue with our room (a ‘water leak’) so they moved us to another hotel. They said this was an upgrade as the new room had a view of the lake, it didn’t. Very unimpressed. Felt like a scam especially as our ha long bay cruise also messaged us that there was ‘a water leak’ on our room on their boat so they would have to move us to another (cheaper) boat. So obviously this is a common trick.

The hotel is in a very good location, a short distance to many major sites which is why we chose it. The stuff were pretty nice, spoke good english so we could communicate easier. Breakfast was also good.

They wouldn't accept our digital credit card so, we had to use a physical -plastic- one or pay in cash. We were lucky that we had one with us... Another thing that left a bad impression was that they asked us to pay an extra 2% fee because we paid by card. Nothing was mentioned on Booking when we made our reservation and they expected us to comply. Of course, we said a definite no. It wasn't a matter of money but of principal. If they want a 2% more for the bank fees, they should mention it before making the booking. It just left us with a bad taste of the overall experience.

Our stay at this hotel was awesome. The staff are extremely attentive and helpful. They put a cake in our room after I told them we were arriving on my son's birthday. The rooms and breakfast are very nice. GREAT SPOT in the old quarter in Hanoi!

    10BrucePosted on: 3-30-2025

The hospitality in this hotel is above and beyond. The professionalism and warm welcome by all staff was superb. Both rooms were spacious, great decor and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with international and local choices. The hotel is near everything. Very comfortable place with lovely staff.

    Very helpful staff, good breakfast

Bathroom floor and shower urgently need renovating— tiles have slime, shower corners have dried up hard water/ slime deposits making it feel unclean.Toilet seat was unstable

Great hotel, very clean and tidy. Breakfast was excellent. Facilities are very good. Staff are very polite & friendly.

KC was great and reached out to us when we booked the hotel. I told her that it’s our honeymoon trip and she upgraded us to the big room and a beautiful decorated room was waiting for us. For the price you pay it’s more than amazing value.

It can be more clean and the bed isn’t that comfortable but it’s HUGE!!!

I stayed for 4 nights at Serenata hotel. This is my first time in vietnam and I am solo travelling so I wanted to find somewhere nice to help me get settled in. This place was exactly that. All of the staff are super friendly and helpful, and on call to answer any questions. A special thanks to Casey on the front desk, she had great restaurant recommendations and was generally a very friendly and helpful person to speak to.Located right in the hustle and bustle of Hanoi, it was a place of calm. I would happily stay there again.

Great location! Right around the corner from train street, a short walk to Hoan Kiem Lake and loads of great places for coffee and food around. It has a decent little gym with a couple of treadmills, a bench and some dumbbells if you want to do a basic workout. Otherwise there is also a gym around the corner of the hotel. The service was exceptional! Solo traveling and they surprised me with a cake on my birthday. Everyone was so friendly and helpful.

I was on the 6th floor and could hear the occasional beeping, but other then that the rooms were good.?

Enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Location is excellent as it is a walking distance to many tourist attractions. However, the staff are really what makes this hotel stand out from others. Jade at the front desk always had a smile and she always stopped to ask how our day was and what we saw. Ryan made sure we never had to open the doors coming or leaving the hotel. When we returned from our Ha Long Bay cruise he took our suitcases immediately into the hotel for us and poured tea for us.Small gestures that mean so much.

    Comfy no complain

Attentiveness of the staff in exceeding our needs was exceptional. For example excellent recommendations given by reception staff on our arrival for maximizing our short time in Hanoi. Airport pick ups and drip offs organized very smoothly.Location in the Old quarter was perfect, on a short walk from Train Street and surrounds. Proved a great base for our trip.Rooms were cozy and impeccably clean.Really enjoyed our short stay
