- Our Bathroom smelt so bad and i'd read other people saying the same thing in reviews so seems nothing has been done about it. We realised there was a leak behind the toilet and the bathroom itself is err less than ideal - feels like you may as well just be in the middle of the room. It's passable for 1 night but it wasn't the best.
- Narrow stairs are a bit of a hassle after beer street
- The room was not very clean, hair on the floors and in the bathroom. The door did not seem really safe.

Great value hotel, staff were nice and offered help with transport, they also upgraded our room for free. Its a cheap hotel, so its basic, but I think it's above average for this price range!
Bathroom was sort of in the middle of the bedroom, so its not very private.
Hallie who works in the reception was absolutely brilliant. She was a fantastic communicator who was super helpful with booking us a tour to Halong Bay for considerably less than we could have booked it online. She was witty and happy and nothing was too much of a problem for her. She made our stay at this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable.
The room was up a tight and winding staircase, but the position of the Hotel (in a side street right in the middle of the Old Quarter) more than made up for it. We had loud neighbours on the first night (not the hotel's fault!) who came and went from their room numerous times, returning at around midnight using very loud voices and fumbling with their key. The second night was much better.

It was bang on for the price we paid. Friendly staff at reception, nice showers and they kindly upgraded us to a bigger room with a balcony without charging us. Room had a fan and AC so no complaints there!
