Luxor Boutique Hotel

Ming and the rest of the staff of Luxor are very helpful and polite. They support us in every way they can, from airport transfer to our transportation to and from Sapa. I requested a cake for my husband as it was his birthday and they provided it with a happy heart. I am thankful for their hospitality and great service. We are definitely coming back.

not so many choices of restaurant to eat in the vicinity but the old quarter is just few minutes away and it is easy to book a grab for transportation.

Spacious room, very comfortable beds. Nice area, you can easily walk to the lake. Breakfast at the rooftop restaurant was a great experience - very friendly and supportive cooks.

Amazing breakfast, large comfy room. Staff were very accommodating, to the point that I mistakenly booked the wrong night and they were very gracious about it. I didn’t have to pay for my mistake and they welcomed us the next day. We would have stayed much longer but they were fully booked, and we can see why!

Our room faces the street, so we heard some traffic noise. It died down overnight, and as a sensitive sleeper I used earplugs and didn’t hear anything.

This is an exceptional hotel, at a real nice price and located in a nice part of the city. The service was exceptional. The breakfast was included. I highly recommend.

Good neighbourhood, ok breakfast.

We we’re upgraded at arrival to a very nice and spacious room, but were then waken up at 6 a.m. by rumbling of the chairs above our room as well as noises from the elevator (people had to exit on this floor and then use the stairs to get to breakfast area).After we complained, we we’re relocated to another room at 4th floor which was quiet but not very nice and a bit worn out. Not a 4* experience but tolerable.After checking out we wanted to pay by card but they didn’t have pos terminal so receptionist enterd my card info in their system. Not safe!

Water pressure problem caused the hot water to be very low, either too hot or completely cold

The premium double room was much better than tbe earlier double bed allotted.Breakfast was very good.Staff very helpful n gracious.Linen spotless and good feel.

Location too far from centre AC wasn't functioning well .The pillows were too bulky n I got a neck sprain.

The amenities, courteous staff & good breakfast

We had booked a family suite for 3 adults, which, as per Booking.com had a large double bed & 1 sofa cum bed, but after check-in we realized that it was actually just a two seater sofa. After multiple requests, the hotel staff agreed to give us an additional bed but there was hardly any space to accommodate it. The bed linen too was not changed for our entire duration of stay I.e. 4 days.

Location is good walking distance to shops and restaurants. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Hotel is currently under renovation so some rooms are modern and some are dated.

The staff was very nice, room clean and comfortable. They could add instructions on how to turn on the heater on the switches outside of the bathroom. I understand the room was newly renovated and that they can improve on that. Nice small breakfast in the morning. Will definitely come back & recommend.

Hot water limited for a half a bath . Must wait half an hour before the hot water comes back eventually . Quick 5 mins shower is better - and ecological

The property was under renovation when we visited this December. When we booked it was in another name and apparently it was just taken over by Luxor. So initially, our booking though confirmed didn’t show up in their handover. So we couldn’t stay there the first day of our arrival as it was fully booked. But as soon as we raised the concern the management did everything including arranging our one night stay at a nearby hotel and personally welcoming us and escorting us to the make shift hotel. The staff was super courteous and polite. We chose to stay a little away from old quarter so this was a good choice.

The property is old and the new management should look at: modernising the rooms. 1. The TVs are old and with kids we prefer smart TVs. 2. The breakfast was quite disappointing. We booked the place reading their reviews about good breakfast. But didn’t meet our expectations at all. Very little options, understaffed restaurant, not very prompt or friendly. must say the makeshift hotel we were provided on the first day ‘T Boutique’ served excellent breakfast. The best bf we had in the 9 days of our visit. 3. Overpriced for an old fashioned hotel.

Where to start, I had an extraordinary stay thanks to the welcome, the kindness and the cleanliness of this hotel. Ms Nhung, Mr Kien and Mr Thuc took great care of me for this solo stay on the occasion of my birthday. The breakfast is plentiful. The staff agreed to keep my suitcases in a secure room for several days free of charge. I fell ill, the staff did what was necessary to assist me and help me get better. They responded to each of my wishes as soon as they had the opportunity. Pleasantly surprised that was granted to me. I will definitely come back. The hotel is not in the old quarter of Hanoi (and so much better) some activity organizations may refuse to pick you up but insist on the fact that it is only 10 minutes from the pick-up point, they will make the effort regardless.
