Pros +
- The staff, truly the only redeeming quality to me. They tried to make a bad situation right.
- excellent staff
- Location was great, staff were very kind and helpful, spa on site and available until midnight for a foot rub if you’ve been walking all day. Nice big room. Good options for breakfast, quiet.
Cons -
- I want to be REALLY clear here this is an infrastructure issue, not a staff issue. I had to move rooms because I felt like I was in a closet. Literally moved rooms to this (it’s literally in a basement it doesn’t bring in light during the day either). Every step, breathe, shower, TikTok, was heard in my room. I slept extremely poorly because of it. There’s a lot of reviews about the construction outside, that’s the least of my worries. There are some really clear electrical issues. My first room the lights glitched and I’m very happy I don’t have elipesy. Second room fridge didn’t work and only realized after my food spoiled. I’ve tried charging my phone at midnight and it’s become pretty clear the electrical slows down from 11ish to 6 am. It took my new phone hours to charge. There is black mold in the bathroom. In both rooms I was in this was the case, it is not isolated. The woman that runs the front desk is great, and the man running the suggestions as well. Barely a step up from a hostel. Convinced the very positive reviews are not honest. I’ve stayed in much better hotels in Hanoi, I’d advise that unless you’re ok with being deeply uncomfortable on all fronts, don’t stay here.
- 2 stars hotel not 4 that’s fact so i advise is to reevaluate the hotel facilities
- I got a king bed (travelling solo) but it was two twins side by side, I noticed other rooms had real kings so maybe I got unlucky but a bit weird because I basically had to sleep in a large double. Otherwise it was a great stay

Location, all in walking distance.
The furnishings and bathroom need renovation.
Kathy (Hang) was very patient and helpful even before I got to Vietnam. She assisted me with every single thing. I’m so grateful to her for making my stay in Hanoi very comfortable. It’s so easy to get around as the hotel is right in the center and it’s all walking distance. I would definitely recommend this to friends & family and will stay here again when I come back to Vietnam.Cam an Classic Street Hotel
The personal is helpful and they helped us with a good tour. The breakfast was good.
A bit noisy in the morning, but the night is perfect. Also, they didn't mention about the onion in the omelet.
I got upgraded to a room with a window on the 6th floor. All the staff were very friendly. The breakfast was reasonably good. The bathroom was quite nice and the bed was large.
Like many hotels around the place, it is slightly rough around the edges.
Great stay, staff was super nice and helped me find my wallet when I lost it! Clean room, hot shower, great location.
Location was perfect, couldn't ask for better location. Staffs were helpful. Room is bright and clean.
Cat who made my reservation did her best to give me a good stay experience. Although the first night was a little uncomfortable she make up on my succeeding night. The only problem was there was no elevator going to the 4th floor but the rest isvery good. The staff were helpful and kind. I love it
Cheerful staff.Excellent location in Old Quarter. Room is reasonable in size and cleanliness. Comfortable mattress and pillow.
Limited choices at Breakfast bar. Breakfast room is in basement so no window or view. Very heavy furniture A lift was advertised but my room was located in a section with no lift. Luggage was taken up by bellboy. Reception explained that the plan is to renovate that section to put in a lift. My room with "city view" has window over the neighbour's drab rooftop. Well, I guess it's called Old Quarter for a reason.
The hotel is right in Old Town - which is ?? and ??You’re nearby everything, but if you’re not into the nightlife, and like to retire early, it might be a bit noisy. The staff is professional and very friendly. The hotel is old and needs a refresher, especially in the bathrooms. The price is reasonable and lower than many similar hotels (it’s not as flashy as some nearby hotels). Our regular hotel was booked so we tried this one. And it got the job done! Good option for the price.
* Very nice and helpful staff* Great location in walkable area* After we asked to move rooms they moved us to a much nicer room with higher ceilings* They were very helpful during this * Can pay with card or cash* Free breakfast
* First room had ceiling less than a hands length away from your head* Moldy shower in first room* Renovations happening near resulting in loud drilling in the morning
The breakfast was good, the location- PERFECT!
The hotel is a bit unkept with broken door frames, chipped furniture, etc. The smell in the room was not welcoming. However, the room looked clean.Very little space, but for this price, the location makes up for all other shortcomings. If you do not plan on spending too much time in your room, the place is very good.
The location was perfect , walking distance everywhere. The staff was very friendly, and the breakfast decent.
The rooms were clean but smelled strange, rather small if you wanted to stay longer than a day. We stayed one night, so for us it was OK. You could tell that the hotel used to be stylish, now a bit run-down.
Excellent location in the heart of Old Quarter close to Water Puppet Theatre and Hoan Kiem lake.Very nice breakfast. Staggering number of food choices in the area - street food, restaurants, cafes...Friendly staff,Clean rooms.
I liked everything.
Kathy was very helpful, with good communication pre arrival and during my stay.
No window in my room, but that's on me, next time I will get a room with a window.
Very friendly staff. Tour arrangements. Breakfast was excellent.
The location and staffs are very professional: John , Kathy, Emma, Hung, Duong , Eric. Helpful staffs to show the care while we’re staying at the hotel.
I really love the staff and the location. Every person I came to contact with at the hotel were extremely nice and seem to go above and beyond. And the location is right in the middle of the chaos of the old quarter. And yet our room was very very quiet. Perfect mix. My boyfriend wants me to also say that the Wi-Fi in the hotel is very good! The buffet breakfast was surprisingly good. I was expecting fruit and coffee but they had a full spread.
We had booked a room with the city view but unfortunately we did not get that our first night. They were very accommodating and flexible on the second night and moved us into a bigger and brighter room but still no city view. One thing to note is that city view rooms are at the front of the hotel and has only stair access. The older rooms (no city view) which are at the back of the hotel do have an elevator!
