Canary Hanoi Hotel

The place was good, it was calm and in a good neighborhood in the city where we could walk around to see things. The staff were nice and helpful. The room was clean as well. It was great.

Nothing specifically, I think everything was good, the only thing they could add is more options for the breakfast, we didn't have different things to choose from to eat, we only had to take one or two things we liked.

We enjoyed our stay at Canary Hotel. The hotel’s main advantage was the location - not exactly in the main tourist area but close to all the monuments. The room was pretty and matched the photos. The staff was helpful.

Breakfasts were average and there was not a lot to choose from. There was no description provided to the dishes, making us not know what were eating.

Room was clean and interiors were done in Hamptons styleBreakfast had very limited options. Location is far from Old Quarter so nothing much closeby for tourists.

Clean, staff great. Hot water on top floor which was great. Room was modern. Great price. Near train street.

The room smells

The room smelled like damp clothes which have been kept in a washing machine for 3 days. There’s no natural light. You can get better value for money elsewhere.

Quiet corner of a small street so not easy to locate from taxi but perfect for a good night sleep, staff or next door could be loud early morning though.Breakfast is perfect for us, both Vietnamese and continental choices, lovely sunny room with excellent view over the city, staff is very friendly and helpful. Bonus for breakfast quality and staff:)

Friendly staff

We got a real "no-view-room". Afterwards we learnt that in vietnam some rooms really have no window. So be careful when chosing the room. For us it was a bit strange to have no sunlight but on the other hand, it was very quite and good to sleep over the jetlag. :)

Pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Clean, fresh air, and friendly staff. Good value for money.

Noises, no soundproofing, loud staff

Location was okay, easy to reach the center from it.

Room was way smaller than it looked from the photos and NO NATURAL LIGHT. The only window opens to an enclosed weird space so the room feels very dark and not pleasant.Hot water isn’t really hot and the breakfast it’s very underwhelming. Went out on Xmas Eve and came back at midnight with the reception fully closed and dark, even the shutters down which made it very difficult to recognised the hotel from outside. We even got our key deactivated before the 12pm checkout so we were unable to access our room without having to ask the staff to open for us.

Room was smaller than pictured, but was very clean and modern, reception staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful. 15 min walk from the centre of Hanoi. Did hear alot of outdoor noise but it usually was quiet by about 10ish.

The room was suitable for a short stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. I needed to print a few pages, and they were willing to assist.

Description mentioned "Comes with a larger window" which was not the case.

Breakfast finish way to early, especially when flying in late and jet lagged, missed breakfast each day, one reason why I moved hotels

Location, room facilities, breakfast and cleanliness are all very good.

Mattresses are in plastic bags and the lower sheet is also plastic. Very sweaty to sleep on.
