We love the warm service oriented staff and the perfect location.

Everything was great. I never met a friendly staff like this hotel’s staff. Everyone is smiling and attentive and helpful.Food was great and spa was amazing

Centrally located in the old quarter. All tourist spots are close by. Great staff, helped with itinerary and restaurant recommendations all of which were great

The staff was very professional and supportive. As our rooms was not ready in time, they provided us with the SPA vouchers, wich was very pleasant. Location is very good.

The room was way smaller as compared to the one in the pictures. Also the breakfasts were somewhat dissapointing.

All reception staff were very helpful and friendly. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was sufficient.

The shower room which have to climb in. It is very high to climb in which is dangerous especially I have elderly people travelling in my group.

Minerva Church hotel was a great find, the location is awesome, with several of Hanoi's best landmarks within walking distance and a really wonderful, friendly and efficient staff.

The hotel is right in the center of old quarter, a short walk from all of the best restaurants and stores!

Unfortunately there was a lot of construction work being done while staying here. The noice often work us up in the morning from all the hammering they were doing. Pretty sure it was small remodels of each room and periodically doing it.

The location was perfect. Staff were excellent, helpful and available to support whenever required. Greeted with a smile every time you walked in the door.

Nothing - it was a great hotel for us to base ourselves at in Hanoi

In my last review i wrote that i would definetly stay here again. And i did. I travelled for 2 months in Vietnam with 2 kids, and every time we came back to Hanoi we stayed here. This place felt like home away from home. Staff was super professional but still friendly. Breakfast was very good and creative. They kept bringing in new items to the buffe, so it was never boring. At one point their brought an entire leg of Jamon which was carved to thin delicious slices. the location is amazing, right in front of the Cathedral. I stayed here on 3-4 different occasions, and enjoyed each of them.

Rooms were a bit small. Had a massage there which wasent very good. And the bathtub is built a bit strange, so it doesnt keep the water from spilling on the floor.

We loved the breakfast here! The food was delicious, and the kids had a blast eating it. It was so easy for them to enjoy, and the taste was spot on. Highly recommend for families!Let me know if you'd like me to add or change anything!

The staff were welcoming and efficient. The location was great being in the center of the area we likedWe enjoyed the view from our room.There was a common open balcony near our room that had a good view of St Joseph courtyardGood restaurants right beside and a convenience store 4 shops down.

The lobby was tight. Not much seating space to wait. The elevator does not go all the way up to our room.

The breakfast was just right. Simple but nice. Not too filling so and allowed us to explore the local cuisine outside.

There was construction going on with the building beside us hence mornings can be noisy. The work stopped in the evening.

Staff seems dedicated to ensuring a comfortable and better than satisfactory stay for guests. I had been referred to this hotel, and to Lisa specifically, by tourists I met in a another city. I was pleased that I went forward with the reservation and the stay at Minerva Church Hotel. The staff's treatment of guests makes this hotel stand above and beyond its competitors. And the value for money spent is excellent in terms of the charming interior and design, cooperative, collaborative, gracious staff, and the hotel's exceptional location to Hoan Kiem Lake and to the Old Quarter. I would be delighted to be a repeat guest.

Hotel room photos did not accurately represent room appearance and layout. I stayed in 2 different rooms. One, in particular, was vastly different from photos of the room of the same name. Cleanliness and hygiene of rooms, closets/cabinets on the main floor, restrooms, and prevailing aroma after some guests check out is at a lower level than is easily possible to achieve. Windows can be opened for fresh air, but it is not practical to do so during the hot summer. Breakfast has many items to choose from. The hot entrees, ordered from the menu, tend to be unappetizing. The buffet portion seems more flavorful and healthful. Coffee cups are tiny. Serious coffee drinkers like me need larger vessels. Lobby/reception area is frigidly cold. Spa and massage services were very worth the money spent.

Minerva Church Hotel has one of the best locations in the Old Quarter of Hanoi. It sits in the midst of very good spots for dining, coffee, and shopping. Not to mention that it is a few meters away from the church and the lake! Most spot of interest in the area are of comfortable walking distance! This boutique hotel is clean, and feels like home, a good place to return to after being out exploring and shopping all day. We're happy we made this choice! And then, there is staff and team of the hotel who made every effort to make our family vacation in Hanoi comfortable, pleasant, and wonderfully memorable! They answered every question, listened to every request, acted on every need, and were always courteous, patient, and genuinely happy to assist us. From the time we booked our stay with them, they immediately reached out to welcome us and provide us with helpful information about our stay. They welcomed and greeted us with big, friendly, and genuinely warm smiles each day! They arranged the airport pick up for our group of 19, they booked our Halong Bay Cruise, made restaurant reservations for us, and were always just there for us. I would like to make special mention of those who went the extra mile to make our stay pleasant and wonderful...Thomas Bui, Sunny Ng, Lisa, Kevin, Tai, Lua (the girl at breakfast everyday), and the ladies at Housekeeping. Thank you, to the entire Minerva Church Hotel Team! You are wonderful people and we will let the rest of our family and friends know about you! We have and will keep great memories of our time in Hanoi, because we were with our loving family in this beautiful and colorful city, and because of people like the Minerva Church Hotel Team!
