    Pros +

    • The room was very clean and pleasant. The bathroom felt luxurious for a budget hotel. The location is close to attractions and good restaurants.
    • Very good location and the room was ok for the money I’ve paid for it
    • They had someone pick me up from the airport for an extra $13 which was great. It was raining and the woman at the front desk came and met me with an umbrella

    Cons -

    • One of the front desk men continued to say that I had a 3 night stay when clearly it was a 4 night stay. Would also pester me about paying everytime I walked in/out even though I said I would pay at check out. He was nice about it but it was just too pushy.
    • The stuff was unkind and very welcoming.
    • I arrived about 9pm. It was extremely loud, a karaoke bar is nearby and it sounded as if I was inside of the karaoke bar. My room had black mold on the ceiling. I informed the hotel staff about it but they did not seem worried. I cancelled my booking after an hour of contemplating what to do and walked to a hotel down the street. The staff were extremely sorry and kept apologizing, but that was only after I said I was not staying as there was black mold on the ceiling and the room smelled wet and musty. The room also looked nothing like the photos

It was an amazing stay here! Spring, the hotel manger, was so so helpful - from allowing me to borrow a backpack for the Ha Giang Loop to ensuring I feel comfortable in my room, she was amazing! Overall, the hotel was in the perfect part of Hanoi - everything was near by. I highly recommend!

Very close to the attractions and value for money.

Even it’s cancellation free window in the booking.com, the hotel forced us to prepay full amount and threatened to cancel otherwise. It’s quite noisy even after midnight.

Spring was very accommodating and patient, booked me an excellent ninh binh day tour and advised me on where to eat and how to be safe. Nice room and excellent hospitality!

The Kingdom Hotel is a wonderful, family-owned and operated hotel. In addition to the hotel's central location, Mrs. Spring was able to discuss and plan out an incredible adventure-filled trip around northern Vietnam (as far south as Hoi An) that included air flights to/from DaNang -- though an impending typhoon prevented my travel to Da Lat -- and around sites, each more awe-inspiring than the next. The entire first week of travel was a fairy-like fantasy of cultural and natural vistas that put me into a dream-like atmosphere. Mrs. Spring provides service at such a consistently high level to all of her customers that it has been a pleasure to stay here (and trusting someone else with helping plan your trip is the ultimate criterion for me).As I understand it, breakfast was not part of the hotel agreement. But since Kingdom Hotel is located in the Old Quarter, one can walk out the door and find suitable breakfasts for less than $5 (110,000 dong), and pho is fine with me! The staff of the hotel, and in particular, Mrs. Spring provided service beyond the excellent category, and helped plan a lovely VexietNam vacation that permitted me to explore HaNoi at my own pace. When I encountered a health issue, she promptly directed me to the pharmacy, and took the time to recommend a couple of non-fee ATMs to obtain walking-around money. Also, without asking, she had a room with an outside window view unexpectedly open up during the busy season, and she put me in that room at the lower price that I had booked through Booking.com a few months ago.

    Nothing that I consider important.

    The location

The room smelled musty and there was, what appeared to be, mold along the upper portion of the back wall. The sheets and duvet felt damp and one of the pillows was so old it was actually lumpy. I left and found another hotel.

They gave me a very nice free upgrade, arranged an affordable airport pickup, arranged my overnight sleeper bus to ha giang and let me store my bag during the day after I had checked out..they also helped set up the sim card for my cellphone

That I had to leave as soon as I did!

In close proximity of the city. 5 mins walk to the lake. Lots of eating joints nearby. Was allowed early check in.

At the time of booking, I selected economy room with twin beds. At the time of checkin, I was told that this room is on the ground floor next to the water pump which creates lot of noise and won't be comfortable. I had to pay extra amount to move to upper floor in the similar room. Bathrooms are cramped. Taking shower is not comfortable.

    9AlexisPosted on: 9-27-2025

I took a sleeper bus and arrived to the hotel at 03:30 and the staff were very accommodating allowing me to check in in the middle of the night.

    6DarlynPosted on: 9-14-2025

This spot is centrally located. The staff was very helpful and kind.

The first room they brought me to has a significant mold smell so I requested to be moved to a different room, which was better. The had no issues moving me.

    - Very clean- Next to many good restaurants

Next to a super busy street for nightlife, which is not my thing.

For all the traveling guest they must be very careful with this place! 1) on Friday, Saturday and Sunday they are unreachable by taxi and it’s very difficult to find this place as the hotel don’t pick up the phone to help tourists navigate and find this place!!! Even local motorcycle drivers had too look for this place.

I payed at the hotel full price and now they are trying to charge me 2 time on the card!!!

    10NeilPosted on: 8-18-2025

Great location, helpful and friendly staff!

There was water leakages l’m not sure if it was from the rain or from toilet’s room above

    9RowenaPosted on: 8-11-2025

Location and the staff were very accommodating and helpful. The room is big enough (we have 2 single beds) and AC worked perfectly esp with the scorching heat in Hanoi.

Having breakfast included would have been okay - we have to go out to eat - not much an issue though as there were lots of restos around. The hangers in the cabinet were way too high - about a foot from the ceiling. So we had to hang our clothes in the cabinet handle instead.

Very close to everything, laundry, street foods and night markets.
