Lakeside Palace Hotel

Close to my favorite Hoan Kiem lake and a few shows on the weekends

TV is broken and it's taking too long to fix it.

Location was great, by the lake and in the old quarter with all the shops and restaurants. Staff were very helpful with taxis etc. Rooms ok and had own bathrooms and kettle, TV etc.

Hotel a bit run down, needs updating, decorating, floors need re doing

Pictures listed on Booking.com. I know anywhere near what their rooms are actually like. This was one of the worst stays I have had in a long time. The beds are absolutely ridiculously hard. I am not even joking. It is probably softer to sleep on the floor. The bathroom is rundown and most of the rooms need a massive facelift.

Just be aware that the pictures on the website are very outdated. The rooms look absolutely nothing like the pictures. The bed is absolutely ridiculously hard and it would be softer to sleep on the floor with some of your clothes from your suitcase.

The staffs are not so friendly. Hotel is run down. Needs a facelift.

Near a lot of restaurants and close to the lake.

We stayed in 3 different rooms over 2 stays. The last room we stayed in was lovely and spacious. The Manager was really helpful. Location excellent.

Our booking did not show on the hotel’s records so we had to stay in a temporary room on the first night which was awful. The only negative once we were allocated a different room was the shower. It only provided scalding water.

Room was awful, didnt look like the pictures, windows had no curtains, bed was awful and very loud to just move on, plug socks were broken and wires exposed, shaver socket in the barhroom was all burnt, shower head couldnt move so when turned on it got all the bathroom wet

Location was ok. everything else was not up to standard.

The cleanliness of the room was horrific, there was bed bugs in and around my bed, all over my bad, I checked out at midnight and left to go the airport 11 hours before my flight, that's hot bad it was after only being in the room for a few hours, horrible.

everything it was disgusting. we had 5 rooms and they were all bad. showers full of mould, beds too hard, walls dirty, tvs not working. Asked why every room had gas masks in each wardrobe and was told it was incase of fire ….strange

Close to the Lake and walking street

Quite busy and no car parking.

The location next to the Hoan Kiem lake was great. Opposite of the hotel there is small, but great place to eat. Everything was nice, room was quite fine, staff too. Recommended!

The young lady on the desk was very helpful.

No breakfast room & hotel was dirty & rundown.

The rooms were spacious with adequate furniture. The staff were amazing. All of them spoke good English and were very very humble and helpful.

Dirty room even asking for it to be cleaned. Staff not very good. Felt like this was the kind of place that rents rooms by the hour.

The hotel is too old, the water was cold, and we couldn’t even take a shower. We had a 3 days reservation but we changed to a better hotel on the second day. It has trash inside the cabinet. No toilet paper. No remote for the TV. I had to go 3 times to the front desk to ask for things.

Absolutely awful place don't be fooled by the photos the place is a dump behind the lake builders next door stay well clear my travelling friends

The mattress was simply a hardf foam cutup. Too difficult to sleep on. The hot water was scalding
