    Pros +

    • The staff was excellent and very accommodating. I arrived and was meant to pay in Vietnam Dong but they allowed me to pay with US dollars and VD in cash. Using a card would be 3% more apparently. The staff were very kind, friendly and always looking for ways to improve their service. They took our feedback seriously and even treated us to our ride to the airport because of some of the minor negative feedback. We had a room with a balcony that was nice since Hanoi is cold this time of year (January) and we could open the door. We had 3 rooms and all were spacious, clean and comfortable. The location is very convenient for walking to places - lots of nice stores and food around. This hotel surpassed our expectations and I would recommend it highly. We also got breakfast with our booking which was decent.
    • Location and staff so very nice
    • Great location, easy access to all the main areas of attraction on foot. Breakfast was a great display of products and also a menu to choose fresh cooked food such as Omelette, Pancakes or even a burger. there was also a Smoothie menu too. Staff were extremely friendly, greeting you when you walked in and wishing you a good day when going out. Room refreshed daily and immaculately clean.

    Cons -

    • I told them that during the winter months they could consider having some lotion for the guests and perhaps change the toilet paper holders or add a stopper as the toilet paper flew off the bar when you rolled it.
    • Breakfast Buffett should end a little later for folks who like to sleep in
    • Everything was great

Everything! They were extremely accommodating to everything we needed. I left clothing there and they went above and beyond to ship it to me overnight. Kate was the absolute best and helped us book whatever we needed and gave us amazing recommendations. She made our entire trip to Vietnam worth it!

Breakfast is delicious and it varies every day. Stuff also asked if we need to order for free and it is included with the free breakfast.

Sun and all Minerva staff are awesome and very helpful workers. They provided us with some options to make our stay comfortable.

Everything was great. The staff was attentive the moment we stepped in. They had been very accommodating to our request to check in early, pick up our bags late, provide extra blanket, room with window, etc. Location is central, walking distance to all the landmarks in and near Hanoi Old quarters. Room was clean, comfortable, spacious, and quiet. Breakfast buffet was yummy. We don’t drink so we didn’t try the bar but the seatings are super nice. Spa is great also, we used it everyday when we were there. Room and services are good values.

    Wish we could stay longer!

Really good value - location is just outside the "Old Town" proper but still within a few minutes walk, and right next to Hoan Kiem lake. Our room was very large and comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We also got a massage at the spa which was very good and professional.

    10AmyPosted on: 1-5-2026

Every thing was amazing! The staff went above and beyond, even helped us with things in town outside of our stay with them. We booked a tour and the guide was exceptional as well!!!

    Nothing, everything was amazing

The hotel looks new and the room is very nicely furnished. The room is very quiet. We got a room with a small window just above our beds. The windows aren't meant to be opened and there is a blind that could be lowered. The location is near to the St Joseph Cathedral. We stayed on Christmas eve and so we could soak up the Christmas vibes. It was a 10 min walk to the train street. The staff had the timetable of train passing. The breakfast is on a high floor. The cooked-to-order menu is quite extensive. The Egg Benedict was good. The rooftop bar is accessible through the restaurant via a spiral staircase.

The shower gel and shampoo dispensers in the shower room were not working. We had to unscrew the pump to remove it so as to pour out the shower gel. It was slippery and the porcelain dispenser could just slip from our hands and break.

great breakfast, great room, great view in the breakfast room. loved the place

Safe, clean, and convenient for a short stay.

    Nothing in particular.

Amazing location, amazing breakfast but the stand out item was the behaviour of the staff. Absolutely top class! They made our birthdays special with a cake on the house, decided to upgrade one of our stays so that we can stay closer to each other as a family, they packed and omlette for us because they realised we were running late, even kept our baggage for 24 hours. The best set of people ever. And I wish we had longer to stay here. I will definitely be back of we ever travel to hanoi. This is the best hotel and rated 5* on Google for a reason. Shout out to the kind General manager who gave up the upgrade too. May God bless the staff!

    Nothing!

The staff was very helpful, my room had no windows but was still very comfortable. The breakfast had a good selection and location was convenient.

I didn’t see the jacuzzi but that’s my fault for not looking

    10PeterPosted on: 11-29-2025

The staff really went the extra mile to provide service. Rooms very comfortable. A fantastic location with an excellent view from the top floor restaurant. Any easy walk to many of the sites.

    10BrianaPosted on: 11-28-2025

The location was great, staff was very attentive and helpful. Breakfast was nice- you could order a la carte options and/or buffet. The rooftop bar was also lovely! Live music some nights of the week (we could hear it from our room on the 5th floor!)

    10KimPosted on: 11-11-2025

Staff very attentive, room clean and bed comfortable, breakfast very good. Welcome drink (lemonade) and fruit on arrival nice touch

    10JackPosted on: 11-10-2025

Amazing stay! Will def come back if I ever come back to Hanoi! Loved their breakfast. So comprehensive and thoughtful. Good flavor and food. Friendly staff will go above and beyond and are looking to please. Room was beautiful. Hospitality is amazing overall. Got a great massage at a fair price, bit more expensive than other massages, but it was a nice setting.

The room could use a full size mirror. The lighting in the restroom was too dim, so it felt like I was doing my hair in the dark.

    9OxanaPosted on: 10-22-2025

The hotel is quite new and well maintained. The staff was extremely helpful with all our requests which made our holiday wonderful.

    10MonicaPosted on: 10-12-2025

While Southeast Asia is known for excellent service, the service at Minerva Premium was particularly memorable. This was about my 10th stay in Hanoi, and though we were only there for one night and have stayed higher starred and more expensive hotels in the area, this was the one place where we were made to feel like individuals, not just valued clients. The front desk staff should be commended, as they are truly special.

The room price is about 10-20% more than other 4 star hotels in Old Town, but the breakfast is much better and it’s worth it because of the staff. I would describe it as a combination of service at a top 5 star hotel combined with a top rated hostal. All your needs are not just met but anticipated, yet you can have friendly casual conversations with interesting people in perfect English. This is a big part of what makes travel special, and doesn’t happen for us when staying at a place like a Four Seasons or Ritz.

    10ANEISHPosted on: 9-25-2025

Location was great. The breakfast is exceptional with a selection of things plus option to order food.Staff were all lovely, special thanks to Sun and Albert who were lovely and so helpful. The room was reasonable size and clean.

A trip was organised to Ha Long Bay through the hotel via an external agency. Little bit overpriced for what we got.
