Palm Cove Tropic Apartments

Host was very polite and responsive to all our requests. room was more then we expected. lovely pool and surrounds, close to beach and restaurants. would recommend this property to all seniors . no children was a great relief. Organised our tours.

I was pleasantly surprised. The pictures on the website don't do the apartments justice. We had a nice apartment, well furnished and equipped and overlooking the pool area. The location was good, close to the bus stop and local shop for essentials and a short walk to the centre of Palm Cove.

Loved the size of the rooms, facilities of laundry,balcony location nearest the pool. Parking was great as it had its own garage. Owners were lovely and understanding.

Cleaning in bathroom and loo could have been better..grout needed a good scrubbing..bit icky!!Instructions about how to navigate the use of the electric stove top.

Tranquil setting, beautiful gardens, and clean apartment.

Aircon had black mold, which gave off a smell when using. Furniture and decor was outdated. Fridge was old and had mold in seal. Wifi was incredibly slow and had a daily limit.

Dusty/dirty ceiling fans, extremely soft pillows with no support, mould on ceiling

Clean facilities and great pool, quiet and rooms well positioned. Could watch the kids in the pool from the porch of our room.

The location is amazing, easy to walk everywhere especially if you’re attending a wedding. The pool area is beautiful and quiet. It was nice having a kitchen and balcony and it was a well equipped room

We never once saw a staff member so we couldn’t ask questions or ask for towels. They did not provide pool towels and no one was ever in the reception desk to get new ones. And aircon played up a lot

The property is in a good location just a short walk from the beach. The pool area is its saving grace.

Unfortunately I had a ground floor unit and the garden has grown and blocks out all the light and fresh air. The unit has a really bad musty, mouldy smell so I spent as little time as possible inside. The bathroom has a rotting vanity. Really needs a reno. Only ever saw the staff once when checking in. They seem to work very limited hours. I wouldn’t rely on them to book any tours…better off doing it yourself.

Lack of communication. We arrived on a Sunday morning early. Thought we’d check out the location and see if we could get an early check in. I understand normally it’s 2pm. No number to call apart from emergency. A passing guest gave me the Belle number. They assured me an instruction email would be sent…still waiting! Returned after 2pm and another guest pointed to the key envelope at reception, which I wouldn’t have seen

It was at a quiet end of Palm Cove and easy to access.The pool area looked great and the bed was quite comfortable.

Let’s be fair - the complex is dated with I’m guessing each unit privately owned and leased in the letting pool. Obviously I can only comment on the one we stayed in.It was extremely ‘tired’ with very little upkeep maintenance. 5 vertical drape panels missing also the opening / closing handle lever was completely broken off and just placed in a handy corner so I could use it to “push” the drapes open or closed.Had to wash plates and mugs prior to use.Floors grubby - just walk to the shower and watch the black crap wash down the drain while carefully navigating a loose drain cover.Perhaps other units were better maintained.

Excellent king bed and very good location. Value for money given priciness of newer and more flash apartments nearby. The managers responded to minor requests fairly promptly. Secure under cover parking. Heated pool.

We were issued one key and locked ourselves out on first day. The reception is closed on weekends and the 'emergency mobile number' NEVER responded. After an hour or so someone turned up at reception. The emergency number should function at all times. Also on weekends with no reception, swimming towels should be left in units. The apartment is older style and needs some maintenance - doors that don't shut properly, blind fittings. However for price, unit was good.

Beach towels weren't supplied. You could rent them but the reception desk wasn't open for the 1st three days of our stay. The toilet paper supplied was not sufficient for the length of our stay. Low water pressure in the shower.

Great location! Washing machine in the room was excellent so we could do washing. Check in was easy. BBQ facilities were excellent and handy having a self contained unit to do some cooking wt the apartments.

The rooms were dated and old. The bathroom floor gets so wet when showering. The small bath mats don’t soak any water up and the bath mats don’t dry because of the weather. The dryer didn’t work. We finally got it working with 1 piece of clothing in it but couldn’t do more items at once. Small clothes drying rack was handy but would be better with a bigger one.
