    Pros +

    • Room was good,as was the pool.
    • Amazing pool and location. Beautiful well established gardens.
    • The room was comfortable with a large master suite with en-suite separated by the main living area from the other two bedrooms. The washing machine and dryer were useful. We had a great view over the pool but the tree cover ensured we had a lot of privacy too.

    Cons -

    • The unit was not clean, all the carpets and beds were worn out. I would not give the unit more than 2 stars.
    • Unable to access free to air channels on the in-room TV. Had to view Tv through our Netflix subscription. Maintenance came and tried to fix the problem but gave up on it.
    • Weird window from the bathroom into the main bedroom, and glass doors from bedroom into living space. Not as much privacy as I would have liked.

Unfortunately the pool was quite cold when we were there. If you could stand the chill it was okay to swim in but the initial coldness was discouraging. The staff said the pool is cold between June - August but otherwise nice for swimming. There is a large heated spa which was a bonus.

We loved everything about Drift resort. The swimming pool was amazing and the tropical greenery surrounding it.. the way they have designed the area so you rarely see other residents & holidayers. The ladies at reception were awesome! Special mention goes to Melissa on front desk. The world would be a better place if more people like Melissa were in it!

The glass shelf in the shower is an accident waiting to happen & the bed was situated in the wrong area.. it was like being on a landing strip at night. The smoke alarm had 2 red lights flashing above the bed, you could see the microwave timer on & the aircon light was also close to the bed

    Location

The room next to us , was lived in by the owner and was a smoker, not very pleasant smelling tobacco in our room , in the hall way

Best location in the heart of Palm Cove walking distance to all facilities including the beach, where you can walk but not swim because of the salt water crocodile being possibly present. The pool is great although a little chilly.

    7FrancescaPosted on: 6-3-2025

Location was good. Pool is nice.

Pool is way too shaded. The guests in the apartment above us were so loud every night and you could hear everything. Moving of furniture etc made it hard to sleep. Also, the frosted glass doors in the rooms arent very private. Can be quite annoying with kids trying to sleep as all the light comes through

room was great ? location perfect ?

lots of closed cafes and restaurants in Palm Cove, was very disappointing

    9GovindPosted on: 3-2-2025

    Very clean and generally quiet

A better cleaning regime for the room.... we had it for 4 days, and hence cleaning atleeast once every couple of days would have been good

The Pool and room were huge. Loved the landscaping and gardens around the pool, just beautiful. Walking distance to Great restaurants and Cafe's. Good value (and pool ) for families

The whole place is a bit dated & tired in general. The outdoor furniture on the balcony was quite stained which put us off sitting out there.

    Nice location

The second bedroom wasn't a bedroom at all no air con in it more of a old converted bath room or wardrobe.

Love the location to the main street, we were able to walk everywhere. The pool was also great, the perfect temperature for our 1 year old.

the apartment was marketed as 2 bedroom, however not really 2 bed as our daughter still ended up sleeping in the room with us as that was the only space for the cot. Otherwise everything else was good.

Neat, tidy, apartment right at the end of the Palm Cove strip. Our kids loved the big open swimming pool nestled amongst the tall trees. It was in the shade for most of the afternoon. Great location across the road from Nunu and walking distance to all the restaurants and bars. Great value for families. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Lagoon pool was great, spa was nice and hot.Great location, close to beach and shops/restaurants.Easy drive into Cairns.

Room wasn't cleaned up to our standards.First room needed work and next door was being refurbished, thankfully we were moved rooms when requested without concern.

The location is one end of palm cove, so central still but not too close that you hear it all. Own parking spot, access to rooms and all areas via secure keycard. The area was quiet and peaceful, apartment had everything we needed, aircon, fans, large fridge for those needing a longer stay. Pool and spa fantastic and grounds were well maintained and close to great food and beverage establishments. The local market was awesome to see, walking along beach dead of night with waves crashing is just a relaxing surreal feeling.

The rooms need a bit of an upgrade in some respect, aircon we could not seem to turn off, and some items like the curtains a deep clean. Some that would rarely be touched were quite dirty/stained.

    Location

This is not a non smoking property even though it states it is .Residents who own and live in their apartments are allowed to smoke on their verandahs and in their apartments .We were staying next to a lady who smoked constantly on her verandah which meant smoke was always wafting onto our verandah .We were unable to eat outside, enjoy the view or just enjoy the verandah space. We went to management and complained and absolutely no explanation or an alternative apartment was offered .They did not get back to us at all! Also we had no hot water in one of the sinks in bathroom , a maintenance man came, said ‘oh I can’t fix this , we need a plumber ‘ And that was it , there was no follow up .The apartment itself was ok ,very limited kitchen supplies( we ended up buying 4 wine glasses ) , mimnimal cutlery, had to request more and was given one more knife .We have stayed in many places/ homes / apartments and this is the first time I can say this management on Drift ApartmentsWas the worst I have every experienced .

    Good location and spacious apartments

The furniture in the rooms was terrible. It was old, badly stained as was the carpet. The 2nd bed was on rollers too and rolled around the room. They only cleaned once and when they did they didn’t sweep floors or clean kitchen. Also the pool was freezing and you couldn’t swim in it which ruined our trip.

Great location. Comfortable apartment with beautiful grounds and massive pool. Large communal BBQ. Good value for money. Free wifi.

Pool was not heated and too cold to swim in this time of year. There was a heated spa but not the same. There were stains on carpet and some furniture in our apartment. However three other apartments we saw were in much better condition
