    Pros +

    • Quirky, unusual. great location.
    • The lodge is set in a very beautiful little tropical-like vegetation that makes it look like a tropical forest. The place is very clean and makes one feel they are in another world. The warm welcome by the host was special and it made our stay very memorable.
    • Quaint, comfortable, clean and private

    Cons -

    • There was really nothing to dislilke.

    • The beds. The double/queen mattress was only comfortable in the middle, sagging on both sides. The room (Wattle Studio) was advertised as two beds, one a pull out couch. The 'single' bed is more like a small adult sleeping cot. Great for kids, or anyone under 5'8, but anything over your feet will be dangling. The mattress moves around and you have to adjust it everyday. The visitors book was out of date regarding evening dining. Don't rely on google either, call the place directly, you'll get better answers ?There is also a rat living in the wall above the door. It didn't bother us, but is worth mentioning.

Great location, walking distance to the town and it's attractions. Restaurants, convenience stores, whatever you may need is not far away. The gardens are nice and there are lots of birds to watch. We stayed in the Wattle Studio.Fully stocked kitchenwares, the aircon was a lifesaver in the heatwave while we were there and there were lots of great amenities for the cold as well. The place was clean and tidy with an old cottage character.

We were late arriving, but the host greeted us personally and showed us to our accommodation. We were on motorcycles and were shown to safe, off-road, and undercover parking. The cottage was very clean and comfortable, and everything we needed to self cater was available. The trees and vegetation all around, the cottage screened it from the road, and it felt secluded. It was quiet, private, and rustic. Just what we wanted.

We booked this as it looked like a great value break away. We stayed In the safari tent and it was really comfortable. It felt like we were out in the bush, but we could easily walk to town. There’s an abundance of wildlife. Possums, bandicoots, birds, frogs which was lovely. On a 39 degree day, Sue the host dropped off additional fans, so we’d be comfortable. It was a really wonderful stay.

Mosquitoes! (Although there is repellent and a fly net around table so not really an issue, just make sure kids close doors! ?)

Clean, comfortable, and ideal location. Rustic charm with lush gardens. Quiet.Very good value.Verge parking, but we found it to be safe and secure.

there was no breakfast supplied, however the location and the ambiance were great. Also liked the garden in spite of the mozzies.

Kitchen bench to high to work comfortably on. I am average height. I have a dislike of carpets because they harbour mites and grime. the lighting could have been better.

An oasis in the middle of Nannup.Real character to the accommodation and the surrounding garden is enchanting

Kitchen implements were a bit sparse for cooking.

Very clean shared bathrooms and toilet. Comfy bed. Very convenient location to the town centre and cafes. We could go for a short walk to get our morning coffee.

No hot water to do the dishes but it's not a big deal. We just boiled some water to get some hot water to do the dishes.

Love the location. Close to the town centre and yet nicely tucked away in nature.

    No ensuite

The walking distance to main strip and the bird life around the property.

Kitchen was awkward to use, electric cooktop was very slow to use.Greeting from owner didn't come across friendly. The allocated BBQ area was very neglected.Accommodation good for short stays.

Fantastic cabin, very comfy and had everything we needed, spotlessly clean ...lovely porch to sit on n watch the birds in the surrounding shrubbery, wish we could have stayed longer...close to town yes private to the street...ideal getaway for couples

    The mosquitos lol

The welcoming party of Sue and her dog set the scene for something totally laid back and relaxing. Sue showed us an app for the Nannup region, which was fantastic. I love the secret garden feel of the property. It's escaping the norm and leaving the usual suburban life behind. We slept to the sound of rain, warmed by the electric blankets. It was the feeling of tranquil bliss surrounded by the beautiful gardens and the noises of Aussie nocturnal native creatures and waking to the bird songs. My son and I were accompanied by a support worker, and as we settled in, we enjoyed the bare basics ofliving withh the luxury of WiFi and power. Our nervous system was calme and then energised by spending time on the beautiful grounds of Black Cockatoo Lodge.

The Blackcocatoo lodge is a small group of cottages five minutes walk from Shopping area. This very quiet area allows parking at front to access cottages, glad I bought a trolly to get baggage in place. (most things are supplied and kitchen sink not required. Will book again.

    was all great

Great location, walking distance to town, beautiful cottage & great value. It's really peaceful & quiet, feels very private. Loved sitting out on the little verandah overlooking the garden. Especially love all the shops in Nannup - the soap shop, Nanna's Kitchen, Oma's chocolate and the bakery are worth checking out. Book ahead for dinner at Nannup Brewing Co - great burgers & local craft beers overlooking a beautiful park/garden.
