The hotel is right across from the Whangaroa harbour. I’ve never seen water quite so blue! Simply Beautiful! There is a wonderful fishing club restaurant and the food was very good! Our room was super clean and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable. Craig and Judy were extraordinary hosts. They were very welcoming and gave great ideas of what to do in the area. I would recommend this place to stay.

View spectacular, host (Judy) exceptional.Cafe at WSFC food lovely, pity they ran out ot steak when we vistsed the second time.

Lighting the roadway so that after a meal at WSFC in the evening, one does not have to negotiate the very steep incline to the Motel in total darkness.

Very clean accommodation. Stunning views. Firm bed and pillows. Great self-catering facilities. Spacious bathroom. Short (steep) stroll to Fishing Club for dinner.

No issues at all.

The view over the harbour and marina, which was full of game- fishing boats, was exceptional. Especially in the morning with the sun illuminating the small island in the middle of the bay.No grocery store, but only a 15 minute drive to Kaeo.The Game Fishing Club, opened at 5pm and had an extensive range of food and drinks.Highly recommend the "beef nachos".The driveway to the motel was very steep, we needed to drive to the club even though it was at the base of the driveway....Our hosts, Judy and Craig, were very informative about the district and also a very friendly couple

Everything was fine .. no regrets.

Our time in Whangaroa with Judy and Craig would appear to be carbon copy of everyone else's. Warmly welcomed, included in a quiz night at the local fishing club (heaps of fun and new friends made) and lots of helpful information about what to see in the gorgeous location of Whangaroa. Our visit here will always be a highlight of this holiday.

Water pressure in shower was a bit slow

This is a stunning location with amazing views over the bay, perfect to enjoy the sunset. Everything is spotlessly clean and Judy is an amazing host. A bonus is that the fishing club with restaurant is just a short stroll away. We highly recommend this place, it’s magical!

View over the harbour was magnificent. Really close to the only restaurant in town. Staff very friendly with a wealth of local knowledge.

I regret not booking for more nights. There is plenty to see and experience in this small town.

A great little gem of a motel in the region. Caring and attentive hosts, stunning views plus all that's in the room description. We'd happily return here someday.

The location perched above the fishing club and wharf was magical. We were invited to dine at the club which was delicious, reasonably priced and very convenient. A wonderful stay and we wish we had stayed longer.

fabulous room, it looked like it had very recently been decorated, lovely bright art on the walls. The room was big and bed was huge, comfortable seating, with great views from the balcony. The owners were friendlyOne of our best stays in a month of travel.

Fabulous accomodation, Judy was a lovely host & put us in a great room with a view that takes your breath away!

Brought my personal white towel, and was mistakenly taken. But its fine :)

the view from the hotel is amazing. when we arrived, we were greeted and welcomed by Judy. We had a very large room with everything you need for a lovely stay. The highlight, however, were the incredibly valuable tips and advice from Judy and her husband. We have travelled a lot, but we have never received such personal (and handwritten) advice and tips for our trip. We can unreservedly recommend a stay there!

Absolutely absolutely nothing

The View from the room is awesome and the small walk down the hill to the boat club gave a great diner and a few nice beers. Very peacefull and quiet.

It was very warm, and although fans were supplied the rooms could really do with Air Conditioning.

great location above the harbour with magnificent views from all units. The hosts (Judy and Craig) were knowledgeable about the area and gave us great ideas for our stay. They were extremely helpful and accommodating (and relaxed). The units are all being refurbished to a high standard and are therefore very clean and comfortable. AND they provide proper milk (not UHT sachets) and good sized mugs! :)
