Very friendly hosts. Was not expecting our room to be cleaned after our first night but that was nice to have everything freshened up. Host was very helpful with advice of the area.

Location - close to supermarket, resturants and food, and since we were there to go to an event at queen elizabeth park, just down the road. easy to find. good off street parking

the step into the shower. when your down there for an ultra run - that step was scary getting into the shower and out.

Clean and tidy, a little bit dated but in great condition. Super friendly and helpful staffTo be expected for the price range.

Near railway tracks, the noise of trains going past in the night could be annoying for light sleepers

We as older bigger sized woman struggled with the shower in the bath but that was the only issue

The hosts were fantastic to deal with. Most comfy bed I've slept on in a motel or hotel fir a long time. It's an older motel but, very well looked after, and tidy. Pool was inviting. Great BBQ available for our use.

I'm tall and the shower rose wasn't the highest, but a minor niggle. No problem for my wife though.

Very comfortable. Had everything I needed. Quiet, easy parking, great shower, good bedding, Two easy chairs - I was very happy with my choice.

Very hospitable hosts and flexible to our accomodation needs.The pool was awesome and our grandchildren loved that and the trampoline. Outdoor tables for dinner was nice. We will stay again and will book direct with the hosts next time.

I have a very pleasant experience while staying in the motel. Room, location, service, facilities, friendly owners are all great. I would highly recommended Kapiti Gateway Motel to everyone.

The location of the Kapiti Gateway Motel suited us perfectly as we spent time with family in Waikanae. It is close to the New World (and Woolworths) for supplies, and had all the facilities we needed (though we spent most time with family). We knew we had a smaller room, though was more than sufficient for our time there. The hosts were very welcoming.

We were a little concerned about noise being close to the railway (though that in itself is a bonus for transport!). However, while we noticed a couple, they did not disrupt our stay or sleep (as did not go through the night).

Very comfortable. Great range of tv channels. Close to supermarket and eateries. Spacious.Very friendly management.

Fittings were a bit tired.
