The staff at the hotel used the card I placed on file for incidental holds to file unauthorized and fraudulent charges to that account. The staff argued with me and made false accusations against me when I confronted them about the unauthorized charges.

Nice size room, comfortable bed, kitchen worked well for our visit.
The room and the breakfast is amazing!! You don¿t see lot of hotels that provide fruit! The room had more than enough amenities to provide for my family!
The room and bed were very comfortable. The clerk that checked us in was really nice and informative. He let us know there was wood and a fire pit on the patio. That¿s a nice little attribute. Location was okay.

The person I booked the room for was very unhappy with cleanliness and the lack of working amenities in the room. We moved her to a different hotel after one night.
I loved the kitchen with reusable dishes. I hate using single use cups at hotels, so it was refreshing having that option. The beds were also quite comfortable.

Top Tips
- Request the hotel's tornado shelter location at check-in. The Village sits within Oklahoma’s Tornado Alley, with peak storms April–June. Most major chains designate a ground-floor interior space for guest safety, so confirm the fastest route to this area after arrival.
- Expect July daytime highs of 90–100°F in central Oklahoma. Confirm that in-room A/C controls are fully adjustable, and verify pool hours or shaded outdoor areas before booking if you plan to cool off. Hydration stations or complimentary bottled water are commonly available at chain hotels; ask at the front desk.
- On-site parking is standard at hotels in The Village, but daily rates can range from $0 to $15. Verify whether parking is free or paid and clarify policies for accessible spots, EV charging, or late-night arrival before booking. ADA-designated spaces are required by law, so ask about availability if needed.
- Hotel rates and availability shift sharply during the Oklahoma State Fair (late September) and on major OKC event weekends. Book 2–4 weeks ahead to secure preferred rates and avoid sellouts. Some properties require prepayment or enforce stricter change or cancellation policies during these periods.
- Request a room away from NW Expressway or other busy streets to reduce noise. Ask specifically for an interior or courtyard-facing room during booking, as peak traffic hours (7–9 a.m. and 4–6 p.m.) mean steady road noise can impact rest.
- Pet and extra-bed fees at suburban hotels commonly run $15 to $50 per night. Confirm pet restrictions (size and breed) plus total nightly charges in advance. Many chains offer special amenities for pets, such as dog-walking areas; ask if available.
- Sporting event weekends can mean stricter cancellation and prepayment policies for OKC-area hotels. Always review room rate terms and favor options with free cancellation when travel overlaps with University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, or Thunder game dates.
