The hotel is well maintained and clean. Breakfast is excellent! The price was welcoming. I am a student at Palmer University. I will recommend it to my colleagues. Many of us travel 1 or 2 hours. If you consider a student discoun I definitely recommend it

Them refunding my money at the front desk without too much of a hassle after the check in host was one of the rudest obnoxious people I have ever dealt with in doing a business transaction

We did not stay and return keys to the manager. Room was old and dirty and area appeared to be unsafe. We noted our displeasure and returned key and left. We should not be charged the $136.90. Charge should be returned to our credit card. Thank you.
convenient to my work.
nothing, its very dated, refrigerator did not work, tv had no channels..none! for twenty dollars more i could have been on the beach in daytona! oh, and crappy a.c. too.

Free Internet. Free parking . Very clean rooms. Pet friendly. Very Accommodating and friendly staff. Location and view of the ocean side room was fantastic!. There are no coffee makers in the room. Continental breakfast is packaged products.
we love being right on the beach, with a patio to the pool and we love it being pet friendly. Recommend. We have stayed here before and enjoyed our stay both times. If you are travelling with a pet, this is the place to stay in Daytona Beach Shores.

This hotel is on beachside. That is the only positive thing I would say about this hotel. It¿s very old, dated and lots of things that need fixing.

Nothing I stayed for 6 days and did not get clean towels one time. The fee was about -- while the bums and crack users paid about half that. I have good credit and will never use your rip off prices again.
I was able to park in front of room and macdonalds was within walking distance.

Top Tips
- Book 3 to 6 months ahead for major Daytona International Speedway events such as the Daytona 500 each February. Hotel availability drops and nightly rates can rise by 30-50% in the weeks leading up to the event. Compare local hotel brands early to secure your preferred location and price.
- Expect 11-13% in Volusia County taxes added to rates, plus possible resort fees averaging $15-35 per night. Ask each hotel to provide an itemized breakdown so you can accurately compare total nightly prices across brands.
- Hotels on Dunlawton Avenue or near I-95 may offer rates 10-25% lower than beachfront properties and often include free onsite parking. Beachfront hotels frequently charge extra for parking or resort amenities, so confirm these charges before booking.
- Plan for driving or rideshare, as VOTRAN bus service in Port Orange operates on limited routes and infrequent schedules outside peak hours. Confirm schedules directly with VOTRAN if you rely on public transit, especially for any evening returns.
- Daytona Beach International Airport (DAB) is the closest hub, about 15-25 minutes by car to most Port Orange hotels. Orlando International (MCO) is 75-90 minutes away, so factor in extra drive time if arriving via MCO.
- When remote working, request a Wi-Fi speed test at check-in. Many hotels offer free Wi-Fi, but speeds vary. If you need stable 25 Mbps or better, verify on arrival so you can plan video calls or uploads confidently.
- Request a ground-floor or Halifax River-facing room for quieter stays; these locations experience less noise than rooms adjacent to US-1 or I-95. Specify your preference at booking to improve rest quality, especially for light sleepers.
- Late-night dining options are limited compared to Daytona Beach. Confirm hotel restaurant hours or nearby 24-hour options before arrival, especially if you expect a late check-in or have dietary needs.
- During hurricane season (June-November, peak August-October), select flexible or refundable hotel rates to minimize loss if weather disrupts plans. Check cancellation policies before confirming your reservation.
- Tap water in Port Orange is potable and treated to US health standards. For severe allergies, contact hotels in advance to discuss housekeeping products or hypoallergenic bedding options.
