We had the worse experience. Wrong room, waiting an hour for our butler to take us to the room. Wrist band was not activated. Waited two hours at the restaurant for food. Do not recommend

It was the best vacation ever!
Staff was willing to go above and beyond. They hosted a garden dinner party one night. A beach dinner party the last Friday of the month with live local music! It was a lot of work for the staff and wonderful to see them enjoy interacting with guests.

Very big and spacious resort. Was plenty of room quiet secluded
The male staffing was extremely nice and friendly. If it wasn't for them, we probably would have demanded someone to refund our money.

Beautiful view and location
Excellent location. Beautiful view. We were lucky to get a room in the main building. The other buildings at the back of the hotel must have a lovely view, however if you have mobility issues it would be hard to access as they are up a steep hill

Top Tips
- Secure rates 20-30% lower than during Antigua Sailing Week by booking your hotel 3-6 months before peak season (December-April). For maximum choice at top chains, compare cancellation policies before booking.
- Expect hotels to add a 12.5% Antigua and Barbuda Sales Tax (ABST) plus a 10% service fee to your room rate. Review your booking summary to confirm the full cost before payment.
- Choose hotels in Dickenson Bay for 24/7 beach access, with area crime rates averaging 40% lower than urban St. John's. For nightlife or local dining, allot 12-15 minutes by taxi to central St. John's.
- Resort Wi-Fi typically reaches 10-20 Mbps, but power outages can last up to 2 hours daily during the June-November rainy season. If reliable connectivity is crucial, ask about generator backup and confirm availability during your stay.
- Use hotel safes for valuables, as petty theft can occur in tourist spots like St. John's markets. Leave important documents in your room and carry only daily essentials.
- About 60% of beachfront resorts offer ramps or elevators for step-free access. Verify your needs directly via the hotel’s website or front desk 1-2 weeks before arrival to guarantee accessibility.
- Select Green Key-certified hotels, especially on the south coast, for water-saving practices that lower usage 20-30% during dry periods. This supports local conservation and may provide educational guest programming.
- Avoid Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) at hotels to skip 3-5% surcharges. Withdraw cash in Eastern Caribbean Dollars (XCD) from local ATMs, incurring fees of about $0.75-$1.85 USD per transaction.
