Location is the best spot on Playa la Ropa. Restaurants is wonderful including the full breakfast options. Restaurant staff is very accomodating.

Facilities are more traditional than modern but super clean. Wish there was a small refrigerator in the room.

Close to the beach. The restaurant staff was awesome they stayed open late for us and were so wonderful.

    Too small

The hotel is in an excellent location right on Playa Ropa and walking distance to town. There is a restaurant/bar connected to the hotel directly on the beach. Beach chairs are plentiful and towels were provided by the hotel. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Small things like the bathroom door didn't close. The screen door to the patio was off track. A/C was across from one bed. Billing was confusing broken into two parts and unclear if it included breakfast.

    Beach

Limited fresh fish options on the menu.Cost of beverages, I understand why other guests were bringing in drinks from outside the hotel.

It is on the beach, there are 3 pools.

We spent 3 nights at Villa Mexicana. The rooms were clean but small. Staff was wonderful until we asked for beach towels at 9 am and there were no beach towels. There were no chaise lounges at 9 am on any of the days, they were all reserved with other people's stuff, even tho people were not on them, because they didn't have enough lounge chairs. 2 hours later a few more people and probably 30 lounges with stuff on them and no people. We had to go down the beach and pay to rent lounges and a umbrella. Staff wouldn't do anything about it. Very disappointed.

The breakfast and food at the restaurant was great but a bit expensive compared to restaurants close by. The pool was incredible and the ocean and beach are literally steps away from the resort. The view from the hotel is beautiful and the location made for an easy walk in Zihua town. The rooms were clean and the staff was helpful anytime we needed support.

The prices seem to have gone up everywhere and this is also the case in Zihua and at the resort.

    The view from the room

The pool too small an restriction on the schedule to use the pool

    Great breakfast.

Complicated to get clothes laundered. No laundry bags in room - needed to go to front desk to get bag and checklist then take to room, inventory laundry items then bring filled bag back down to front desk. To get clean laundry guest needs to go down to front desk again and inquire. The desk does not call guest to tell them laundry is ready. Seems it would be easier to have bags and checklists in room and have Housekeeping pick up and return bagged laundry directly to guest. With a phone message to guest letting them know clean laundry is ready.

estaba limpio, it was clean and the beachfront was a nice touch.

my original booking was for 4 guests and for some odd reason only 2 showed up on the reservation so the lady at the front desk charged us an additional $3,000 pesos for the two other guests. i did not like the staff. I honestly felt like the staff was just watching us closely, a guy came to tell us that the front desk lady said that my grandparents (of 90 years old) could not be there as guests after I had asked the front desk lady if it was okay if my grandparents joined us at the beach. they are very old and we’re sitting on chairs the whole time not bothering anyone. We ended up offering the workers a tip to let them stay… that same day I had gone up to the front desk to ask if they had umbrellas for rent and when I was approaching the desk one of the girls laughed making a face as if she was bothered by us which was very unwelcoming.. in addition, on our last night we asked for towels and the guy working the front desk said they were being washed and would be done soon, this was at around 5pm, we checked up on the towels about 3x and nothing, we were out by the pool/beach area until about 8pm: the next morning they asked us to return the towels that they never gave us… how ridiculous. the pool and beach front was the only nice thing and rooms were clean but unfortunately we will never book here ever again… our first time ever experiencing something like this at a hotel resort…

Right on Playa La Ropa. Rooms were comfortable.

Lounge chairs all mostly claimed by early in the morning. Pretty packed in, too.

    8Ignatius N.Posted on: 2-9-2023

Breakfast was Mexican style not international. Restaurant also mexican food, good but some expensive.

We were located in a room near the laundry: too noisy during all the day.
