    Pros +

    • This sweet property is located in a quiet, safe neighbourhood with the most gracious, helpful hosts ever. It was a serene escape from the bustling city, yet completely walkable to many sights, eateries, etc..
    • Casa Ensenada was truly exceptional. The room was had (#301 with a private terrace) was on the smaller side and I think fairly typical of the rooms at Casa Ensenada. The room itself was very comfortable, clean, quiet and exceptionally well-lit. Slippers and robes, water and even snacks were provided. The bed was super comfortable (note: we do like the firm mattresses that are common in Mexico) with soft, high quality sheets. We appreciate the hotel’s environmentally-friendly approach. But the best thing about Casa Ensenada? Not the breakfast nor the location although both were good. It was the staff! Alejandro, Rodrigo and Monica were all wonderful, super attentive, and cheerful. They make Casa Ensenada a stand-out!
    • The Hotel Casa Ensenada was the perfect base for our week-long trip to Mexico City. We arrived late in the evening and were greeted by Rodrigo and Alejandro who welcomed us warmly and got us situated in our room. The room was large, clean, and comfortable, with two sitting chairs, a table, luggage racks, coffee makings, and a small refrigerator with complimentary water (still and sparkling), and light snacks (chips, energy bar). Closet with safe. The king size bed was so comfortable! A really nice bathroom and shower with a rain shower head, nice soft towels, shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner. The neighborhood where the hotel is situated is quiet and residential but within easy walking distance of restaurants, cafes, and stores. We particularly enjoyed the easy, flat walk over to Parque de Mexico--a wonderful, lush park surrounded by cafes and restaurants on one side and mostly residences on the other. We enjoyed strolling and people (and dog!) watching there. It's about a 20-25 minute walk from the hotel over to Roma, a wonderful neighbor to La Condesa. The hotel is centrally located to most of the sites we were interested in seeing in Mexico City. Uber rides to Centro Historico, San Angel, Coyoacan, and Polanco were super easy and affordable. After hours of walking, we loved coming back to the comfort of our room. The hotel keeps its gate locked at all times, but someone is always there to respond and open the gate for you when you return. They provide a complimentary breakfast that is simple but satisfying, served in the lovely courtyard of the hotel. They provide hard boiled eggs, toast, toasted waffles, yogurt, fruit, granola, coffee, and juice. There are many breakfast places nearby or in other destinations around the city, of course, if you prefer a larger breakfast. Above all, we appreciated the warmth and helpfulness of the sisters who run the hotel, Monica and Alejandra, along with Alejandro (Monica's son) and Rodrigo.

    Cons -

    • We liked everything!
    • I think the coffee at breakfast could have been a little better, as well as the breakfast in general. Being someone who unfortunately can't eat gluten, it was difficult to find something I could have, so we ended up at cafes nearby (which was great too!)
    • If you must have a fancy HUGE hot breakfast, this will not be the place, but we loved the breakfast for our needs: yogurt, granola, hardboiled eggs, a delicious fruit plate, toast and waffles on order. Great coffee! It was perfect.

Everything exceeded expectations! The location was perfect, in a quiet area with easy and safe walkability through Condesa and Roma Norte. Every staff member was super helpful and kind as well! They booked taxis for us to and from the airport, the room was always cleaned and the turndown service was a nice touch, and the front gate was always locked and manned so you received a greeting when returning, which was nice. And the continental breakfast was a great start to the day as well. Would highly recommend and would absolutely stay here again!

Very nice staff and they really took care of us very well. The Breakfast was simple but satisfactory. It included fruits, coffee, tea, boiled egg, toast, ...There was no elevator in the property but the staff help you with the luggage.

The whole experience was great! The staff are amazing, the facility is very cute and clean. The bed was incredible, and the bathroom was amazing. Overall a great experience and would definitely recommend.

Quiet oasis in the city. Service was excellent, the staff went beyond the call of duty to recommend excellent restaurants. Exceptionally clean and towels provided daily. Walking distance to restaurants, cafes. Neighborhood charming

    10JozsefPosted on: 12-7-2025

The staff were amazing and very caring, offering advice, sharing context about events around town and suggestions for nearby local restaurants. They waited with us early morning and late night for Ubers, and they readily accommodated early+late departures. Breakfast was a nice start and we enjoyed the fruit plate to balance what we'd eat the rest of the day. The room was very clean, the bed a comfortable luxury firm, shower was warm and powerful, and the heating was much appreciated on cold November nights. We slept quite well for most of our stay. We had their smallest room, which was a fine size for a weeklong stay. The neighbourhood is great, with a good mix of high-end and local eating options within easy walking distance. Chapultapec, the museum, and Roma Norte are all within reasonable walking distances, and the streets themselves are part of the attraction. We always felt safe along those corridors.

What a wonderful place to stay in Condessa! It was so comfortable, quiet, and convenient and the staff, to a one, was SO warm and welcoming. We felt genuinely pampered and it was spotlessly clean. We felt very safe. We will definitely return there for our next trip to Mexico City. Just terrific!

If you must have a fancy HUGE hot breakfast, this will not be the place, but we loved the breakfast for our needs: yogurt, granola, hardboiled eggs, a delicious fruit plate, toast and waffles on order. Great coffee! It was perfect.

Casa Ensenada was truly exceptional — one of those rare boutique hotels that gets everything right. I stayed in Room 202! The room itself was spotless, peaceful, and beautifully designed, with thoughtful touches everywhere: robes, slippers, bottled water, and even snacks waiting on arrival. The bed was incredibly comfortable with crisp, high-quality linens that made for an excellent night’s sleep.I also really appreciated the hotel’s eco-conscious approach — it’s clear they’ve put a lot of care into sustainability without compromising comfort. But what truly sets Casa Ensenada apart is the staff. Alejandro, and Rodrigo, went above and beyond at every turn — warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. They made us feel completely at home from the moment we arrived.Casa Ensenada isn’t just a place to stay; it’s an experience — one that I’ll gladly return to and recommend wholeheartedly.

Wow, what a beautiful place run by beautiful people. We can’t wait to return. From the moment you enter you are greeted with a lot of love and kindness. The room was very comfortable and everything from the massive bath towels, slippers , robe, to the soap added extra comfort. Don’t hesitate to book here. The location is perfect. We have no complaints and will be back soon!

Location, aesthetics, design and the hospitality of the management. Their commitment and passion was so evident.

The room was a tad small for two people.

    9EmilyPosted on: 3-20-2025

Monica and Marco were fantastic and always available to help. Breakfast was good - toast, pastries, fruit, yogurt, coffee. The location was fantastic.

    10EladioPosted on: 3-10-2025

We loved the personal service. Arturo, Marco or Monica were always available to take care of our every need. We always felt safe and looked after. Breakfast was a nice assortment of fruit, meats, yogurt and Monica was always prepared to offer somethinig extra good. The courtyard and balcony were lovely areas to relax in.

It would be hard to improve on the exceptional service and accommodations.
