The location

No one told me it was construcción going on! 6:30 am it was people working and making a lot of noise. I went to relax and it was horrible

The property is in a perfect location, beautifully maintained and exceptionally styled. So welcoming and comfortable. Staff is friendly and helpful. Food and drinks are top notch; rooms and common areas are spacious and cozy. Loved it!

Great small intimate size, friendly and attentive staff, great location, quiet, incredibly clean

Just being overly picky but bathroom design is odd, mirrors within mirrors but no full length mirror anywhere in room, location of nepresso and tea inside closet on a low shelf is awkward, marble shower is beautiful but when wet it presents a dangerously slippery surface. Request room on front of building. Courtyard is more of a lightwell so interior rooms are dark.

The location was excelent and very boutique hotel

Great service and great menu. Enjoy the environment. Lovely boutique hotel. Unlike the big luxury hotels there are no huge conference rooms, long hallways, and long elevator rides. This is not a business meeting hotel. Its more of a an intimate luxury romantic thats picks up on the local cultural influence rather than a uniform international flavor. Local is a high end part of the city with nearby parks, museums, shops, and high end restaurants.

Doesn't have a fitness center but really didnt need one here since there is lots of exercise walking around. Probably not ideal place for kids or families. But thats okay with me since we are an older couple.

I recently stayed at the Alest Hotel, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The room was not only beautifully designed but also incredibly comfortable, making it the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring Polanco and the City. The staff went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay, always welcoming and attentive. Overall, a fantastic boutique hotel that I would highly recommend!

Our room was very close to the bar and was a bit noisy at times

Location and staff

The room had no windows to open to the outside, just looking to the other room and inside a closed courtyard. Also next to the lift, hence disturbed by the people coming in and out of it.For 5 star hotel it is something that is not expected.

Reception staff were excellent and very helpful, especially Carla.Restaurant staff very customer focused and breakfast choices were excellent.

House keeping at times for replenishing water and snacks were not comparable to other services. Coffee cups used were not cleaned during daily house keeping and supplies had to be asked for that were supposed to be provided.

The food is nice but the service is so slow people were leaving without eating.

The noise from the lobby and lounge really travels. Young children were in the lounge until almost 11 which made it hard to sleep. Try to reserve a room away from the lobby.

Fruit and accompaniments were good. Coffee and it options for included breakfast could be improved. Eggs Benedict were very good, wish that was included in breakfast meal.Location was terrific!All hotel staff was above and beyond!

Rooms are large, comfortable, and beautiful. Bathroom was as nice of a bathroom as I have experienced in any hotel including Ritz’s. If you want to stay in the tourist centered part of Polanco (and not the business end) the location is perfect—just a half block from Parque Lincoln and a comfortable walk to the Anthropology Museum.

The service simply is not up to par. My wife got food poisoning early in our trip (to be clear not the hotel restaurant’s fault!). I stocked her with supplies and she asked me to go out for the day. When I returned, I learned she asked the front desk for additional bottles of water—and after telling them that it wasn’t something she needed immediately but would like them in 1 hour, they countered with telling her they would come in two hours (which indeed was the time it took for them to come). For a small hotel with a seemingly ample staff, I found this quite shocking and nothing like the experience I would get from a Holiday Inn Express—never mind a spot that claims to provide “Refinement in Hospitality.”Also—The rooms are all located along a single staircase going right down to the lobby. Which means that if there’s noise in the lobby you are hearing it in your room. Fortunately, the lobby bar/scene is very tranquil and wraps up early, but you have an early alarm clock in the morning if you are anything of a light sleeper.

Decoration is beautiful, everything very comfortable and clean. Amenities are the best. It feels like a very exclusive place, and more personalized than a standard hotel.

Breakfast was disappointing. It says it is included, but they have a special menu for the guests, which is very basic and it excludes a lot of options for breakfast. You end up paying for a very pricey breakfast.
