    Close to the city

    Lack of staff and service. Air conditioning in our room didn’t work at all and we couldn’t sleep the whole night as inside the room it was 29 degrees. When you open the window there is lot of highway noise. So without AC it was awful. Reception didn’t do anything about AC even after asking them 5 times. Very pathetic service.

    Hotel with good price quality, parking outside on the road free and available, hotel location near city center. Rooms large and comfortable. Breakfast large with good choice.

    Everything was absolutely perfect. Stuff is very professional and friendly, everyone speaks English perfectly. Hotel is very clean and tidy, room service is excellent. There was plenty of free parking in streets near the hotel, and it took only 10 minutes by car to the center of the Trieste. There is few supermarkets nearby and gas station. I’m second time in Trieste and first time in Hotel Sonia, but I’ll definitely come again. I honestly recommend this place

    /// everything was excellent

    Good value for money, clean and comfortable, we liked our stay, you can park on the street for free :)

    The room was regularly changed with towels and light cleaning, that's good

    two days in a row the fire alarm went off, it was terribly loud and nerve wracking... the first time it was at two in the morning, we were shocked, but the staff didn't explain anything to us or apologize. The next day it happened again early in the morning...

    I stayed at this hotel for three days and had a very comfortable experience. The staff was exceptionally cooperative, and the hotel's environment was peaceful, ensuring quiet nights and restful sleep.The location of the hotel is a bit far from the center of Trieste. However, this makes it an ideal place to stay for those with a car. As I was traveling without a car, I relied on buses, which posed no issue since public transport was convenient and accessible.I was particularly impressed with the cleanliness and housekeeping services. The staff cleaned the room and bathroom daily, replacing towels and maintaining a high standard of hygiene.

    The location of the hotel is a bit far from the center of Trieste. The only downside I noticed was the bathroom design. The shower section was not completely separated, which caused water to spread across the bathroom floor after each shower. This was a minor inconvenience but worth mentioning.

    Title: Worst Experience Ever – Avoid This Hotel at All CostsThis was by far the worst experience I've ever had at any hotel. We booked 3 rooms, and after checking in, we were given rooms that were much smaller than they appeared in the photos. The hallways reeked of marijuana, and the bathroom and rooms were dirty, cramped, and poorly maintained. The mattresses were in terrible condition, completely unusable.The worst part? When I opened the window, just 40 cm away, there was a man sitting on the windowsill, smoking marijuana and drinking beer. The experience at the reception was just as bad – the receptionist was rude and completely uninterested in hearing any complaints.With all the police presence outside the building and the overall state of the hotel, we checked out after just 20 minutes and found another place to stay – of course, without any refund. Honestly, I understand why the hotel guests drink and smoke weed, because no sober person could stay here.My advice to all travelers: avoid this hotel at all costs!

    While the room was small, it was adequate, spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. Glad that they had a restaurant as there was nothing nearby in walking distance.

    Parking cost a lot extra so I parked on the street with no problem. The restaurant was understaffed but they did the best they could and the food was good.

    There were a lot of policemen due to the proximity to the border, so we felt quite safe :)

    The rooms are extremely small and you feel cramped. There are long labyrinth like corridors on the way to your room. No mosquito nets on the windows, there were plenty of them inside the room. The walls need painting as they were all in stains.

    Was renovated but everything was poor quality and cheap. Room extremely small for the price and didnt feel like it was well cleaned.

    you could easily park your car in the street near the hotel. and no need to use hotel parking for 30€per day!

    My experience at this hotel was very disappointing. I am giving it only one star. First of all, the room wasn't very clean, and the level of cleanliness was quite low. The view from the window was not appealing at all, as it was just a rooftop. We also faced a serious issue with the bathroom drainage; during showers, water flooded the entire bathroom and even leaked into the room. When we informed the reception, they casually mentioned they were aware of the problem and the only solution they could offer was to provide extra towels to dry the floor. The hotel's location is also very remote, making it difficult to access key attractions and central areas. I definitely do not recommend this hotel.

    They didn’t accept to cancel my reservation that I did by mistake for a year in advance. They could easily find another guest and accept my cancellation. I used to come often, I am disappointed
