Burnside Hotel

Hotel was lovely and very clean and comfortable

There was no hot water for the bathroom so we were unable to shower

We enjoyed our stay, the hotel is located in a quiet area, still not far from the centre. One can immediately see that the complete building was refurbished, it has a modern look and pleasant atmosphere. The room was clean and well equipped. Excellent bathroom and comfortable bed. Polite and helpful staff.

The size of the room, it was a bit small. Also, the £75 charge that is pre-authorized on your card after you paid for the room is a bit surprising in this price range (although it was released soon).

Stayed two nights and seriously could not fault anything. From the warm welcome, Lovely room and fantastic food, it was spotlessly clean everywhere. Excellent service from all staff. It was a great location with only a 20 minute walk from stratford.

Vegetarian breakfast choice was very limited. The £75 refundable charge seems excessive and unnecessary as does having to pay £5 for parking.

Very nice family room but note… only one bathroom!

It’s not easy walking to city centre as there isn’t a proper pavement at some parts which makes it dangerous to walk along the narrow roads especially once it gets dark.

Lovely hotel and the staff were pleasant and helpful, the room was comfy and clean and the whole experience was good

The staff were very welcoming and the hotel was exceptionally clean and stylish. High quality bedding.

We were disappointed that we were allocated a garden room across the courtyard from the main hotel. However, the room was very comfortable and stylish.

Room upgraded for free. Very comfortable, large room with comfortable bed. Secure car parking.

Everywhere was spotlessly clean. The staff were polite and helpful. It had a lovely, relaxing, calm feel throughout the hotel. Parking facilities were very good

The ambiance was very good. There was plenty of space in the room. The bed was very comfortable as well. Staff attentive to our needs.

We felt the food menus were a bit limited in choice however the food was of a good standard. The breakfast menus need to be looked at, as other establishments we stayed at offered both hot & cold breakfasts with many varieties of choice.

Decor looks nice. Bed and bedding were very comfortable. Large, luxurious shower en-suite. Helpful staff.

Cobwebs on wall lights and in the corners of the room. A strong smell of cooking permeated into the en-suite especially during breakfast time. I reported it but the receptionist did not seem at all bothered. I was in room 14. Very limited complimentary drinks comprising just Green Tea although a very helpful staff found me some decaffeinated coffee sachets. Car park charge of £5 for overnight stay. I was there from around 10pm - 10.30am. I can't remember the last time I had to pay for car parking overnight whilst staying at the property.

Everything was excellent from the friendly staff the cleanliness the great breakfast will definitely come back

After checking in we had a family emergency within 2 hours of arriving and had to leave. We had paid for 2 nights stay & we were told to contact management regarding a refund due to us not spending even 1 night at the hotel. I emailed the management and was told no refund would be given. After responding to request even a partial refund, I never received another response. I’m aware the emergency is not the fault of the hotel but it would have been gracious to offer some recompense due to us not spending even 1 of the 2 nights at the hotel and the hotel could’ve re advertised the room if they so wished. The lack of response / customer service has been disappointing.
