Throw on bed could do with updating looked a bit old
Central location and quirky boutique decor
It was so hot in the rooms & breakfast room too
The bed was amazing and very comfortable, the bathroom is great and the courtyard attached to the room was brill
The tv really needs updating, not many channels and not a smart tv so was stuck with nothing to watch. Also only 4 sugars was a bit of a let down as we both drink tea and could only have 1 cup each
The staff were really nice and the location was great.
I think this hotel would have been great 20 years ago. It felt quite tired, some if the fittings were old and it was quite a dated room. It was fine, but I don't think worth the price for one night.
Upon arrival, we were upgraded to a bigger room. The room was very spacious and clean. The beds were nice and comfy. The bathroom was clean and tidy as well. We enjoyed our stay and would consider returning.
The only downside is that the walls are very thin, you can hear movement in other rooms and chatting.
Location.
Heating and cooling not great in rooms. Unusual decor.
Friendly staff, great location, very clean and comfortable bed,
Great location- handy for the arena, even if our concert was cancelled last minute! Staff very welcoming and friendly. Recieved a free room upgrade and was met by a lovely view of St Marys church.
The room is in need of a major refurb- it looks tired and outdated, especially the bathroom and certainly doesn’t give ‘four star hotel’ vibes. Simple things such as sockets by the bedside cabinets would be useful and even though a tv isn’t the main thing required in an overnight stay, the fact it wasn’t at least a basic smart tv is quite unusual in this day and age. I would suggest that given there is a fridge that perhaps have a small jug of fresh milk in there over the small UHT packets of tea and coffee would elevate the offering. As nice as the upgrade was, we were located right next to the lift which kept waking us up throughout the night.
Cosy, friendly and quiet
No availability when I wanted to extend
Great hotel.Good location friendly and helpful staff
Everything was great.Would have liked a plug socket near the bedsides for charging etc but very minor issue
Central location, quite a spacious room. Cosy bar attached to the hotel.
We stayed midweek but I wonder if a ground floor room might be a bit noisy at the weekend.
location was convenient and a parking garage nearby
overpriced for what you get-was expecting more of a boutique hotel, it was a little shabby around the edges
Room was decent. Little bits need tidying up. Mainly the bathroom, whilst clean, was a bit dated and scruffily finished (tiling mainly).
As above. The rest was fine.
I had mini double room. Room was nice , colourful.Friedlly, helpful staff.I had everything what I needed for short stay
Location
Dirty carpets and the room too hot made it a sleepless night
Location was goodStaff were niceFridge in roomToken small bottle of Prosecco
Restaurant - menu very poor / food mediocre Breakfast mediocre Bar - almost everything ran out! Lack of choice and no attempt to source supplies on a busy local event evening Didn’t feel it was good value for money overall
Very friendly and helpful staff, great location.
It all looks a little bit tired. Stylish design and artworks, but it all needs refreshing. Also our room had a portable air conditioning unit in it, with a massive pipe that clumsily fed into the secondary glazing on the window. Who needs air con in December? And in a hotel that is trying to be smart, it just looked like a rubbish solution to a problem we didn’t have. Also, why no radiator in the bathroom? How are the towels supposed to dry and the room stay warm?
Room was clean, hotel was in a perfect location
The boiler for the heating was situated outside room window. Loud humming noise all night.
