Very clean and stylish staff was excellent, and the view was amazing to the Sangra.
The view of the Sagrada was amazing , from the room as well as the rooftop. The location was perfect, just a block or so to the metro and sagrada and walking distance to amazing restaurants and bakeries, and there is a laundromat just a few doors down.
Hotel staff and location were wonderful. The view on the rooftop bar for the Sagrada Familia was awesome.

We just needed a nice place to sleep close to the airport when we arrived near midnight in Barcelona. There is a convenient municipal bus stop beside the hotel, allowing us to avoid expensive Barcelona taxi service.

The location and the free wine tasting in evenings. Overall good experience, staff were nice, food was good and bed was very comfortable. Great gluten free options at breakfast.
Staff was fantastic. Service was Excellent! Hotels building was not reflective of five star statusmore like 4 star. Location and access to hotel a bit challenging but was centrally located in historic Gothic area. However staff and service was 5 star.
There was a lot to love about this hotel ¿ central location, friendly staff, modern decor, roof deck, Nespresso in the room, wine happy hour for guests.

This is my 2nd time booking at The Suizo. The location is great. It is walking distance to many tourist attractions: La Rambla, Picasso Museum, and La Boqueria. The room was clean and shower provided hot water. Only downside: pillows too hard

Top Tips
- Book your hotel 2-4 months before major events such as Mobile World Congress (late February to early March) or Primavera Sound/Sónar (May to June). During these periods, central district hotels often double in price or sell out. Confirm flexible cancellation policies before booking high-demand dates to accommodate possible schedule changes.
- Choose accommodations that display a valid Barcelona tourist license (HUT code); short-term rentals without this are often shut down, risking last-minute cancellations. Always verify the license on arrival or with your provider.
- Carry a refillable water bottle, as Barcelona's municipal tap water is safe to drink. This reduces single-use plastic waste and avoids paying €1.50–€3 (approx. $2–$3 USD) per small bottle from minibars or shops. Many hotels have water refill stations in public areas; check with reception.
- When paying by card, always choose to be charged in Euros (€) to avoid Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) fees, which can add 1-3% or more to your bill. Review your receipt before confirming payment, especially at hotels and tourist venues.
- For lower environmental impact, consider hotels with Biosphere Responsible Tourism or EU Ecolabel certifications. Properties with these labels often let you opt out of daily linen changes and may offer on-site water filtration or reuse systems; ask at check-in.
- Keep valuables secure, as pickpocketing is prevalent in tourist areas like La Rambla, Sagrada Família queues, and metro stations, especially from 18:00 to 02:00. Use in-room safes and avoid keeping passports or large sums of cash on your person.
- Request step-free access or accessible rooms if booking in historic neighborhoods such as Ciutat Vella (Gothic, El Born), as many buildings lack elevators or have narrow lifts. Ask for a 'habitación con ascensor' (room with elevator) or ground-floor room when reserving.
- Compare airport transfer options: Aerobus and RENFE regional trains reach central Barcelona for €5–€7 (approx. $5.50–$8 USD) per person and run from early morning to late night. Hotel-quoted taxis or private transfers cost more and may include surcharges; verify fare and schedule in advance.
