Pros +

  • The hotel was close to the places we were interested in seeing. Easy to get to from the interstate and from Marion.
  • The hotel and staff are pet friendly, and the staff are personable, helpful and accommodating.
  • Location and staff.

Cons -

  • The room key cards needed to be recharged frequently. The room cards also did not work on the side door at times.
  • The sound proofing on the 1st floor was unusually poor in comparison with other hotel/motels. We clearly heard people above us. I don't recommend staying in a ground level room on the 1st floor, but people on the 2nd floor reported less noise.
  • One of our 2 rooms had a bathroom that smelled. The cleaning staff corrected it and was very pleasant and attentive.

It was over-all high quality for the price paid. The breakfast was very good.
The only complaint I could have is the tub could have been a little cleaner, although it wasn't bad, and one of the wash clothes was staind. Everything else was fine or good.
