- The staff was very professional, friendly, and competent. It was a beautiful place and very well maintained. I also loved the history of the place.
- Beautiful, historic hotel that is surrounded by gorgeous grounds, lots of extras to do, for a price. The spa, the historic hot springs pools, the cascade gorges hike, all were spectacular. The hotel also has nice pools and hot tubs with changing rooms.
- History tour with hotel employee!
Cons -
- I am not a "fancy" food person, and the formal dining is not to my taste, so we didn't try it. Martha's Kitchen does not seem set up for the number of people we encountered. There was a long, slow line. We did like Woody's. Service was always good.
- The price is extreme, particularly the additional services and hotel food options. The valet situation requires you plan about 30 minutes to an hour ahead just waiting for your vehicle. A historic hotel is always under repairs and renovations.
