Beautiful, historic hotel that is surrounded by gorgeous grounds, lots of extras to do, for a price. The spa, the historic hot springs pools, the cascade gorges hike, all were spectacular. The hotel also has nice pools and hot tubs with changing rooms.
It¿s in a nice location
The staff was accommodating, pleasant, and always willing to lend a helping hand! The serenity garden and spa amenities were definitely top notch!

Magnificent view of Blue Ridge Mountains from my balcony. Spacious room. Privacy provided by staff after I hung "Do Not disturb" sign on outside of room door. Coffee always available in Lobby with nice flavored creamers. Very courteous staff.
The view off the front of the hotel was beautiful, too bad it was blocked by the parking lot.
The delicious coffee available in the lobby even in the evenings.

"Suite" sized rooms are quite spacious, including kitchen table large enough for 5. Full sized frig/freezer is nice bonus. (Note suite does not have a separate bedroom, just plenty of space.)

The staff was wonderful with requests for info/extra room amenities, rooms were big and clean, the facility was clean indoors/out. The pool was reasonably warm (I'm picky if it's too cold) and the hot tub was pleasingly hot. Breakfast was great!

Front desk staff are very kind and helpful. The breakfast is real cheap. They are cutting costs to a point they are offering unhealthy breakfast, full of processed and frozen food. Our room was not cleaned in three days. Bed sheets crumbled all the time

Top Tips
- For summer weekends, federal holidays, and peak event dates, book your stay 6-12 weeks in advance. Omni Homestead Resort holds most local rooms, and small inns often sell out quickly. Early booking ensures your choice of accommodations in this limited inventory market.
- Expect to drive 60-90 minutes from the nearest airports, Roanoke (ROA) or Charlottesville (CHO), as there is no regular public transportation to Hot Springs. Rent a car in advance for greater flexibility, since taxi and ride-share options are limited in this rural area.
- Confirm Jefferson Pools opening hours and book your session before arrival; operating days are seasonal and time slots may be required during peak periods. Verification is recommended as schedules vary by season.
- Plan dining outside the resort around early closing hours, with most village restaurants closing by 8-9 PM. Secure dinner reservations ahead or check hours directly to avoid limited late-night meal options.
- Lodging outside the Homestead mainly consists of B&Bs and small motels. These fill early and are often a drive from supermarkets or pharmacies. Reserve specialty stays early and carry necessary supplies to avoid long trips for essentials.
- Request an accessible room at booking if needed, since many local accommodations are historic properties with limited step-free access. Early request significantly improves the chance of securing a room with features such as ramp access or visual alarms.
- Check for road and weather conditions from November-March, as winter snow or spring storms can add 30-60 minutes to drives in and out of Hot Springs. Monitor local transport advisories before travel for updates.
