Honestly nothing really

Rude, aggressive staff that make you feel uncomfortable. There's 2 employees there that have severe anger and take it out on other's. One had a bat in his hand threatening another employee. There's more than that though

Cheapest Hostel available and has a pool. Staff is excellent and nice, staff makes you feel welcome.

Literally everything else. WiFi was broken in my dorm, construction is in process and is making a mess with concrete dust which is NOT being cleaned up. Also most places are not air conditioned very well. It?s 90+ outside.

The cleanliness of it

The staff and the customers were abusive. One stole from me and the others mocked me for it. The staff was aware and did nothing so I took care of justice on my own.

Priced relatively low compared to distance from downtown/main area. Close to tram stop. Felt safe.

It?s a cool, laid back atmosphere. It?s clean, the staff are friendly. It?s located in a quiet neighborhood where I felt safe.

Super laid back atmosphere. Everyone is friendly and it was a wonderful experience for my 1st time staying at a hostel.

The ONLY bummer is that there is a 14 day maximum that you are able to stay for. After the 2 weeks you must check out.

What¿s not to love?! Great atmosphere, friendly people, full kitchen, outdoor pool, good price, and ideal location :)

My only suggestion would be to have some of the private rooms just have one big bed instead of bunkbeds.

Drunk People streaming until 6 am! Sleeping Not possible!

The vibe was pretty cool and staff was nice and had good facilities inc atm

It said it was walking distance from bourbon street where all the action is but it's not you have to catch a cab it took ten minutes

India house hostel was relaxed and a great place to and talk people from all over the world. There were many solo travelers and never a shortage of company. The rooms are simple and functional. Meals were served 2 x a day and the food was good.

Someone stole my 12 pack of beer from the community frig along with many others beverages.

Hostel is centrally located between the French Quarter and City Park, right off the trolley line. Staff was friendly. Other guests were friendly. No frills, but none expected for the decent price. Cool bohemian vibe. Water pressure in shower was great

Fridges could use cleaning inside and out, as well as the pool. Could hear other guests in other rooms. Check in process was slow, and could be improved with any of the employees ambling about helping out.

Different guest from different places and countries. We had a wonderful time here while visiting for concert @ superdome.  2 trolley line on Canal. we felt totally safe at the hostel

I left my key in the room and used my to open the door. Deadnolt was present and lockable from inside but not out. Easy room burglary and nobody would never know. Dont leave any valuables in your room, safer hidden in the car in my opinion.gr8 pla

Loved India House - what a perfect place to stay in Nola!! It was awesome meeting STAFF who lives there - he offered to be our personal tour guide and it was the icing on the cake!! Very clean private room, great breakfast & very happy with stay!!!

open welcoming atmosphere, many friendly tenants, ease of access to trolley car stop, cutest resident cat! about 10-12 min trolley car ride to French quarter. inexpensive meals available.

many floorboards were very old, creaky and almost rotted off especially in the private bathroom we had.

It was just so laid back and everyone was having a good time around you and I don?t know it was just cool!

Only that the pool closed at 10. I thought that was a little early!

Nice staff

If you don't have an out of state license you cannot come here! Absolutely no in state patrons allowed. That seems unfair and extremely questionable.

Unique experience, so glad I tried it and will stay again next visit to New Orleans! Very friendly people, clean room, close to street car and good vibes.

Spacious grounds

Aggressive, confrontational staff.It felt like I was an unwanted guest at somebody's house....I paid the asked price, please treat me as a paying customer.Change the staff. Seems like a homeless shelter with paying clients....."Stolen valor" is the battle cry of an aggressive staff member.... His name is "Bear"Jay and Nathan were helpful and friendly.All in all..... Stay somewhere else.
