The Carriage House on St Charles

The hotel is adorable! Extremely clean and has everything you need. The price was perfect, the bed was soft, and the water pressure was great.

The bedroom didn’t have a window but the bathroom did.

Location and the fact that they had a smoking area

My ac didn?t really cool my room that well

Was different than expected and not traditional.

Checkin was difficult because nobody was there (8pm), had to call, was rude and started spouting unclear instructions with loud traffic in the background. 3/4 used hotel bottles in the shower, 1 wash cloth, street noise is difficult to sleep, no parking.

No lamp on one side of the bed, no shelf to put things in BR, towel rack came off, volume didn't work on TV, Roku was disconnected and in drawer, toilet had a leak so it was often running, no extra blankets (which we would have preferred to heater), etc.

Loved this place. I was scared from reading the reviews but it was beautiful. Clean and the staff was nice. The streetcar stops right out front and takes you to the French quarters and a lot of other places. Would def stay again

Did not like the parking. The first day was ok. The second day was at nite and not knowing exactly where we could park without getting towed was frustrating but we drove the block one time and found a spot

Great location, friendly desk manager. Convenient room with a comfy bed, mini-fridge and microwave. Very clean.

I had difficulty reaching someone on the phone a few weeks before my stay and my phone message wasn?t returned.

The location was great! Right on the St Charles streetcar line, very convenient to get anywhere in the city!

I never met a staff person until my third day there. The room was dark, as the window looked out at a brick wall. It was clean, and adequate, but boring and bland.

My credit card was charged $20 with no explanation. Had to dispute charge with cc.

The room was clean, and spacious! There was a table for my lap top, but no chair?

Everything is done per our smart phone. No clerk on premises. Check in/out on phone. There is a # to text/call. That person is friendly. I text to have maint. check the tv I am not a tecky, and it only had a fuzzy screen. Only 1 channel roku. $11.for mai

I am retired airline pilot. One of cleanest hotels I have been in. Saw maid wiping all closet doors in room acruss hall. Very thorough.

Bathroom sink faucets short. Architect should have put longer spout. One breakfast area table wobbled so bad coffee went everywhere. Attendants cane running bur management needs to train them how to check tables abd ssnjsr feet.

Room was dirty. Floor needed a good cleaning. Found coke bottle and comb under the bed. Bathroom had no light and staff did not replace bulbs during our four day stay. Bathtub curtain was tied with plastic bag pieces instead hooks. Walls needed maintenanc

The location was key. I stayed here before and will again but next time I’m just going to get a 1 bedroom

It is right on the Street car line and, although it's just park anywhere you can find  you don't have to pay to park.

Room was old but not historically decorated, just a small, cramped old room. I will check would not recommend to friend below but I would, if just me traveling, stay here again as I'm not as hard to please as some are. No longer includes b

The cockroaches and lack on blankets made for an uncomfortable stay.

Proximity to events

The room was dirty. The sheets from the previous guests were left in the room and we were informed there was a 50 fee charged to our card in the event damage was done and if damage was done an additional 150 would be charged. This is not mentioned online.

Centrally located and easy to get to. The staff were friendly.

The tv was on when I arrived and there was no remote to turn it off. I just unplugged. A few moths on the wall truly instilled the rustic atmosphere. The bed was not very comfortable.

Historic Building

they used furniture polish on the wood floors - made the floors very slippery

The location was great next to great places to eat and the streetcar line

Hotel employee was rude however hotel employee was very nice. Rusted trash cans didn't have liners, had to request towels & cups and bed broke. Second room wasn't much better. Doors didn't have weatherstripping and rain came in & a/c went out from window unit.

Price. That they were willing to give me a new room when the air conditioner wasn't working in the 1st room. Location is good. Pizza next door is good.

Towels had frayed edges and holes!! Black streaks on washcloths. Housekeeping that leaves things undone. Room was small and hard to navigate, but at least the A/C worked in the 2nd room. Toilet rocked back&forth. Mildew on shower caulking.

It's an old, quaint building with a true New Awlins feeling. It had a nice little deck and a porch with rockers.The location was GREAT! Lots within walking distance and the trolly was literally right outside.Hotel employee was awesome at helping us find tours!

Minimal space for three of us in a double queen, but if you go to NOLA to stay indoors, shame on you.
