We loved everything about The Lookout. Away from everything in the Quarter, but lots of cool bars, restaurants and a top notch brewery steps from our room. The peace and quiet was worth the price alone.
I loved the themed rooms. Then atmosphere was calm and peaceful. I loved the hot tub and the pool. My daughter and I had a great experience
I was totally impressed with my stay here and the reviews are spot on. Everything from the cleanliness, accommodation, privacy and more. The host was very friendly and helpful and would highly recommend the look out inn for great vibes. Most definitely a hidden gem that’s only 10 mins from the French quarters.
The themed room was very interesting and had cool memorabilia. The spa/pool area was nice and relaxing. Check in was easy and owner was really friendly. Comfortable stay for the most part.
The room was extremely warm right after checking in. The cleanliness of the room could have been a little better. Fridge needed extra cleaning and the shower curtain was in need of replacing. The coffee pot was in need of an upgrade. No microwave in the room. The TV was extremely small and located so we couldn't watch TV in bed. Wife didn't care for the bed, and I didn't care for the pillows. We were warned about the train via the reviews prior to booking but it was still much louder than we expected. Felt the building shake a few times.I would recommend requesting what suite you want if it's available. For some reason we got switched into the Elvis suite last minute and we're not really big into Elvis. Would have preferred one of the other rooms just as personal preference.
I didnt' meet the owners but check-in was super easy, they promised to be available but i had no needs. lovely location, the bywater is v cool.
not much.
The rooms were delightful, the pool/outside area were well maintained and looked lovely at night, and the host was super clear with instructions and communicative. Definitely recommends.
The Lookout Inn is so cute. The owners put a lot of work into updating this property. The backyard was so thought out for a group of friends staying together. Pool, hot tub, garden, lounge area, snack shack. What else could a person want? I can only speak for our room, but it was very clean and imaginative.
the location wasn't the most beautiful. Lots of dilapidated homes and properties in the area but also homes that have been updated. Looks like people are trying to upgrade the area.
I chose this place for the neighborhood, which was fantastic. The inn itself had quirks that could be annoying - like a loud train whistle at night, squeaky shower, dim lighting in room, and thin walls. These are clearly features of an old house, but worth noting. The hot tub and pool area were really nice, though quite small.
The inn was a peaceful, lovely haven for us. We took a small part of each day to relax in the pool and hot tub. Kelly was so helpful and readily available for guidance.
The lookout inn is one of the best places I have ever stayed and I travel a lot! The inn owner is extremely accommodating and very personable, she made everything very easy for us. The inn is so cute, even more amazing than the pictures. I loved the outdoor pool area with everything you could want including water and coffee! Our room was big, beautiful, and very comfortable. There are plenty of delicious eateries and parks nearby. I can’t recommend this inn enough! I will be back?
I loved everything!
I loved the charm of the room, the size, the bed was very comfortable… and the bathroom was beautiful.
I didn’t like that it was situated near a train station and the train woke me up at 4:30am. I also didn’t like the lights in the hallway coming in the room. The stylized windows were beautiful but when I wanted to sleep it was annoying to have them on. I also didn’t like that the hot tub was not on!
From the first moment to the last, we were were taken care of in ways that exceeded our expectations! Kelly communicated everything we needed to know before we arrived, had a great book of things to do and eat in the Bywater neighborhood, and continued to check-in and make valuable recommendations whenever we saw her around the Inn.
The Bollywood was a fun, eclectic, and spacious room. We had not explored the Bywater neighborhood before and just expected it to be a less expensive place to sleep while we would spend most of our time in the Quarter and the Garden district. The opposite was true. we spent most of our time enjoying the Bywater restaurants and the amenities at the Lookout Inn!
The pool area, hot tub, and tiki bar!
The location was a bit sketchy.
