I had reserved a 2 queen room--when I got there they had given all of the 2 queens to others and I was in a 1 King and sleeper sofa. I had 3 people in my group and I needed two beds. I was not happy.
Brand new hotel near Fresno Airport. Has all the normal amenities of a HI Express in a shiny new property. Staff at the front desk was super accommodating extending my stay but honestly all the staff were friendly and professional.

My room was cleaner than I had expected, considering the smell of the property and the number of broken down vehicles in the parking lot with smashed windows.

Breakfast
This is a great budget hotel in the downtown Fresno area. We came for a wrestling tournament and it is about a mile or so drive down from the arena. There was hot breakfast (eggs, season potatos, fresh waffles, yogurt, cold cereal, coffee and toast.

The outside grounds were beautiful and the staff was incredibly accommodating.
The remodel is great, rooms and staff are good. The biggest problem is after that harvest spray th house keeper sprayed in the room wore off...it smelled of dog and dog urine.

The staff is always helpful and accommodating-I’m considering the hotel was primarily full with teenage wrestlers and their families. It was quiet.
There was no information about the hotel in the room. There was no menu for room service. There was nothing. I called for service and was told there 'should be' a QR Code on the bedstand. Nope. Took 40 minutes to get the QR code handed to me from service.
The lady at the coffee shop who wasn't fully open but made a point to get me some coffee.

Top Tips
- Reserve 3-6 weeks in advance for weekend stays in Fresno from June through August and during major U.S. holiday weekends. This helps avoid price spikes triggered by increased demand from Yosemite-bound travelers. Compare rates early for maximum choice among top hotel chains.
- Expect a 15-25 minute drive from Fresno Yosemite International Airport (FAT) to central Fresno hotels in normal traffic. Add 10-20 minutes during weekday rush hour or major events. Most hotels in the area offer shuttle or taxi booking assistance at the front desk, so ask upon arrival.
- Choose hotels in Fig Garden, River Park, or North Fresno for quieter nights and convenient access to suburban amenities. These neighborhoods have more hotel options offering onsite parking, lower noise, and easy access to shopping or chain restaurants compared to the Tower District.
- Parking policies differ widely: expect free self-parking at most hotels along CA-41 and CA-99, while downtown properties often charge $15-25 per day. Verify parking conditions and fees before arrival, especially if you will need accessible parking or oversized vehicle accommodation.
- Book 3-6 weeks ahead for dates overlapping with the Big Fresno Fair (October) or Fresno State university events, as these cause sharp spikes in hotel demand and pricing. Large hotel groups may release extra rooms closer to the date, so set up rate alerts to track opening inventory.
- Confirm pool hours and linen policies before booking, as many Fresno hotels use seasonal water-saving programs that may affect pool heating or trigger daily towel exchange limits. Front desk staff can explain current local water restrictions or environmental initiatives at check-in.
- For day trips, plan on a rental car or rideshare, as regional public transit does not serve most tourist sites. Allow 30-60 minutes from Fresno hotels to Yosemite South entrance gateway towns on peak summer weekends as main operators like YARTS offer limited service.
- Reconfirm accessible features by phone 48-72 hours before arrival, including roll-in showers, step-free access, or visual alarms. Local hotel inventory includes older motels that may not meet current ADA requirements, so request written confirmation where needed.
