Unit was well designed, clean, modern and pristine. The hosts were lovely and above and beyond to welcome us to get us situated into Bermuda prior to and during our stay. We look forward to returning in the future. It felt like home away from home!

The amenities
The hotel had a nice beach and cave formations that are associated with the hotel. The spa is actually within the cave formation.
Food options great. Loved the all inclusive option, made it worry free! Though I dont know if I saved any money with it. Loved the pool bar and restaurant.

Gorgeous hotel. We've stayed here many times and are never disappointed. They upgraded us to a suite so that my son had more room to run around. The view was gorgeous.
Location is very convenient
The amenities and location are great. The rooms are dated. If I am paying $--- for 3 nights then I expect modern rooms.

Location, Hotel's ferry and shuttle service, on-site restaurant, spacious suite, Wifi throughout the hotel. Very good value.
My experience was so bad I packed my bags at six in the morning and left the hotel. I'm still waiting to hear back from the manager after multiple attempts
The location and access to the water taxi into Hamilton is great. Having access to a shuttle to a nearby beach is another great option. The pool area is beautiful. The surrounding grounds are beautiful too. The indoor restaurant area is so cheery.

Best staff ever. Beautiful location and beach.
This is our second time staying at Coco Reef and it has officially become our go-to spot in Bermuda. We love the location and how it is beachfront! Also great to have Elbow Beach next door for restaurant options and spa.
You are right on the beach! It's also very close to Hamilton if you want to go out at night or shop.

Top Tips
- The Bermudian dollar (BMD) is pegged 1:1 to the USD. Most hotels and shops accept US$ cash and cards for payment. For expenses outside hotels, confirm in advance if smaller vendors accept foreign cards to avoid issues.
- Bermuda does not apply island-wide sales tax or VAT; higher retail prices usually reflect customs duties on imports. Review final charges at hotel shops for clarity as some specialty goods may include supplemental fees.
- Book 2-3 months ahead for major events like Cup Match (late July-early August) and Bermuda Day (late May) since hotel availability in Hamilton, St. George’s, and Dockyard usually drops below 10% during these peak periods.
- Hotels with direct ferry access, such as those near Hamilton, Dockyard, and St. George’s, offer cost-effective connections. Ferry frequency typically decreases after 18:00, so check the Bermuda Public Transportation schedule for last departures.
- Request accessible, step-free or ground-floor rooms during booking, as many Bermuda hotels use historic properties with stairs and no elevators. Contact the property in advance for details on ramp access or visual alarms if needed.
- Hurricane season runs June-November. Purchase trip insurance that covers weather disruptions and ask your hotel to confirm their hurricane-related cancellation or closure refund policies before making a final payment.
- Tap water in Bermuda is desalinated and safe to drink in most hotels. Ask about charges applied to bottled or minibar water at your property, as hotel policies and pricing vary.
- Restaurant bills may include an automatic service charge, typically 15-18%. If not added, a standard gratuity is 15%. Verify charges on bills before adding tips to avoid double payment.
- Pre-booking transfers from L.F. Wade International Airport can lock in fixed pricing and save time. Hamilton is about 11-12 km (7-7.5 mi) from the airport, and pre-arranged shuttles or vans commonly reach hotels within 20-25 minutes.
- Hotel rates include a 13.75% tax plus possible service charges (10-15% of room total) and energy surcharges ($15-$20 per night). Review your bill for each charge to avoid fee-related surprises at check-out.
- Enroll in hotel loyalty programs such as Hilton Honors or Marriott Bonvoy to access benefits like late check-out, complimentary Wi-Fi, or room upgrades at select Bermuda properties. Check program details for specific locations and benefits.
- Support hotels certified for sustainability, such as those marked with the Bermuda Green label, which commit to water conservation and energy efficiency verified by the Bermuda Tourism Authority. Ask about certifications when booking eco-friendly stays.
- Power outages, while rare, may occur during storms or scheduled maintenance. Pack a portable charger for devices and subscribe to hotel alerts for real-time service updates.
