Clean, safe, good breakfast
Overall amenities. Food selection and quality was good.
It was by far the best 3--4.5 star hotel at which we have stayed in the last couple of years.

The staff were kind; the filtered water (cold, warm, and hot), cups, and stirrers were available 24/7; and they accommodated our extra day with no hassles!
Nothing. Upon arrival we were told our reservation had been canceled when new owners took over the hotel. This took hours to remedy and we missed our plans on Friday evening. There was a line out the door of people who had the same thing happen.

Top Tips
- Book your hotel 3-6 months ahead for University of Missouri fall game weekends, as these dates often sell out campus-adjacent properties first. Use hotel price tracking tools or waitlists with major chains to monitor rate changes or receive notifications when rooms become available.
- Select hotels on or immediately north of Broadway to reduce walking time to Faurot Field or Jesse Hall to 5-15 minutes, which can save both parking costs and time on game days. Many properties here are on accessible walking routes, and certain hotels may offer shuttle services; check availability if needed for mobility access.
- Downtown hotel parking typically costs $10-$20 USD per night. Confirm included amenities when booking to avoid surprise nightly fees, and check if hotel loyalty programs or parking packages offer discounts or complimentary parking. Rates for electric vehicle charging may differ.
- Fly into Columbia Regional Airport (COU), about 8-10 miles from downtown (15-20 minutes by car). Prebook late-night airport transfers if arriving after 10 PM, as rideshare options can be limited; confirm with your hotel if shuttle service is available or request a list of local accessible taxi providers if you need step-free transportation.
- Request an upper-floor or backside room to minimize noise from The District's late-night bars along Broadway and 9th Street, which often remain busy past midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. Ask about soundproof rooms or quiet-zone floors, and see if white noise machines are available to support restful sleep.
- Bring a refillable water bottle, as Columbia Water & Light provides safe municipal water throughout downtown. Some hotels offer complimentary filtered water stations or reusable bottles, reducing bottled water costs during your stay.
- Check in advance that your room’s A/C is functional for summer stays (July average high is 88°F) and heating works for winter visits (January lows average 18-20°F). Request a pre-arrival room climate check, and ask about in-room thermostat controls or accessible climate options if needed for comfort or mobility.
- Contact your hotel 7-14 days before arrival for ADA or mobility requests, such as roll-in showers, grab bars, visual alarms, or step-free access. Request written or emailed confirmation, as accessible inventory is limited during event weekends, and you may also submit digital requests via hotel apps.
