Beds clean
I had a very bad experience at this La Quinta location. The service was poor, and the elevator was not working during my stay, which was very inconvenient. The room had many insects, and I even got bitten ? very uncomfortable and unacceptable.
Love this hotel! Whenever we are in Jupiter this is the only hotel we'll stay at The employees are always so friendly and welcoming.

This hotel was not as discribed in the ad. It was dirty, dingy, I ended up not staying at this hotel. As I felt unsafe
Location was close enough to the action but remote enough to be quaint and relaxing. Brand new appliances, granite, tile; just superb. Remote / easy check in via text message; easy for us Americans, but a foreigner without SMS mess. might have difficulty
Quiet, very close to beach, clean-remodeled apartment and cheaper than nearby resort properties.

Top Tips
- For peak season stays in Jupiter (December-April), secure hotel reservations 30 to 120 days ahead to access published rates, as average demand increases by 25-40% and occupancy rates can surpass 90%. Confirm rate policies during major golf or festival weekends.
- Budget for 11-13% in combined taxes and fees (7% Florida state sales tax plus 5-7% county tourist tax) added at checkout; these are often excluded from quoted nightly rates. Review your preliminary bill breakdown or ask for a written estimate to avoid surprises.
- Choose Palm Beach International Airport (PBI), located 24-30 miles (about 30-45 minutes' drive) from central Jupiter, for the fastest hotel transfers. Transfers from Fort Lauderdale (FLL) or Miami (MIA) typically require an additional 1-1.5 hours, especially during rush hour.
- Rent a car or use rideshares for local trips; Palm Tran bus service covers major arteries but is limited for hotel-to-beach access. Expect car rentals to cost $30-$70 per day, or individual rideshares to range from $15 to $35 per trip.
- Many Jupiter hotels charge nightly resort fees ($25-$50), but not all include amenities like beach chairs, towels, or public park parking. Ask for a detailed amenities list in writing to clarify inclusions and avoid additional on-site charges.
- On check-in, hotels commonly place a credit card hold for incidentals, typically $50-$250 per night. Request the specific hold amount at booking, especially if using a debit card, to avoid temporary restrictions on your funds.
- Ocean swimming conditions can change quickly in Jupiter due to seasonal rip currents. Check current beach advisories and confirm lifeguard hours with Palm Beach County parks or your hotel, as coverage varies by season and location.
- Request your preferred room orientation (inlet/ocean versus west/parking) when booking, and ask for written confirmation if an ocean view surcharge applies (typically 10-40% higher). Written commitments help prevent downgrades at check-in.
- If you plan to work remotely, verify the hotel's advertised Wi-Fi speed or request a current speed test screenshot. For additional quiet, ask for a room away from high-traffic areas like bars, pools, or rooftop venues.
- Direct booking or hotel chain loyalty membership can waive resort fees or offer free parking at some properties. When booking direct, review hurricane season (June 1-November 30) cancellation and refund terms for added flexibility.
- During hurricane season (August-October peak), confirm hotel policies for severe weather events, including whether backup generators are on-site. Power outages are more frequent in this period and generator coverage varies.
- Hotels in Abacoa, a planned community in Jupiter, offer quieter surroundings and report approximately 20% lower crime rates than hotels adjacent to the I-95 corridor. Consider this neighborhood for family-focused stays.
- Request step-free accessible room access in advance; while 70-80% of modern Jupiter hotels comply with ADA standards, older properties may require specific room assignments. Confirm accessible features such as bathroom grab bars or ramp access.
- Support sustainability by choosing Florida Green Lodging-certified hotels, representing 15-25% of options in Jupiter. Certified properties often include water-saving low-flow fixtures and participate in energy conservation programs.
- Avoid Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) fees by selecting the USD option when paying. DCC can add 2-3% per transaction. Request a USD-only charge if prompted at check-in or checkout.
- Access local ATMs (banks or supermarkets) for currency exchange, as hotel ATMs often charge higher fees. Local machines usually offer better rates and help avoid unnecessary foreign transaction costs.
- Select hotels with Florida Department of Environmental Protection 'Clean Marina' or Green Lodging status. Twenty-two Palm Beach County properties use native landscaping, reducing irrigation by about 40%. Ask properties about their environmental certifications at booking.
