I stayed at Marriott Oceana Palms in Palm Beach, FL in one of their two-bedroom suites, and I’ve never experienced such a frustrating and unprofessional situation at a Marriott property.I had already paid in full through Booking.com, but when I checked in, the front desk said they needed my card for “incidentals.” Instead of just placing a small hold, they charged me again for the entire stay!When I went down to fix it, a staff member named Haley told me she would “take care of it” and that I’d see the refund within two hours. Of course, no refund ever appeared. The next morning, to make things worse, I saw that they charged me AGAIN — now I had been billed twice for a room that was already paid for.I went back to the front desk again, and the manager was completely unhelpful. His response was, “I don’t know what happened,” and then told me he couldn’t refund me right away because he had to “check me out first.” When I agreed and told him to go ahead, he said it doesn’t work that way and that he needed to “talk to his business partners.” What kind of answer is that?I left feeling angry, confused, and out a large amount of money with no clear resolution. It’s unbelievable that a Marriott resort would mishandle payments like this and leave guests to deal with the mess.Be very careful if you stay here — double-check your credit card charges. This experience completely ruined what should have been a relaxing stay. I will not be returning to this property, and I highly recommend booking elsewhere unless you want to spend your vacation arguing over billing mistakes.

Booked this stay as a 5 star hotel - it is not! This is a time share property. No valet, no descent restaurant on site; breakfast is self service in plastic boxes, not even a daily housekeeping service. The only thing which was like a 5 star hotel was the exaggerated price of the stay

Location was great- within walking distance of some shops and snorkeling. Great view of the 4th of July Fireworks. We liked that activities, beach and pools were close together-just had to walk out our building and you were right at games, mini soccer green, crafts and pools and beach. Felt like a community. Staff were friendly at all levels. We loved karaoke night ! We cooked in our rooms due to food allergies -had all we needed for that. The finale was a spectacular view of all the firework's in communities in surrounding areas as well as the main one on the marina. We plan to go back!

I like the location on the beach.

The drinks were terrible - bartender could not make a cocktail at all.Our room wasn’t ready until late and they made us checkout at 10am. For the value, the experience was not worth it and they promised us a day pass due to the early checkout yet we did not receive this.
