Forbes of Kingennie offer beautiful, self-catering accommodations within the beautiful Angus countryside, just 15 minutes’ drive from Dundee. Its lodges boast balconies and fantastic views. Bright and spacious living areas each include comfortable leather sofas, and a TV. With modern, wood flooring, most include patios that open out onto a balcony with countryside views. Some also boast flat-screen TV/DVD players. Fully fitted kitchens all feature a dining area with tables and seating. Guests can make use of an oven/hob for self-catering, along with a microwave, refrigerator and kitchen utensils. Bedrooms at Forbes of Kingennie are all feature calm, neutral decor and some include a private balcony or a private bathrooms. Lodges boast either tranquil woodland or scenic waterside locations. There are numerous scenic walking trails throughout the surrounding area. Dundee’s Overgate Shopping Center and rail station are both 15 minutes away by car.

Pros +

Spacious, clean, amazing scenery, great staff, luxurious.
It was very relaxing
Food was very good, lodge was very clean and within walking distance of the restaurant area

Cons -

Tv satellite didnt work, told reception and they said they would fix it by the next day and it never got fixed.
Will definitely go back as was totally relaxing
The Boathouse where we stayed was clean however very dated. While the kitchen was modern enough and had sufficient amenities, the open plane bedroom/bathroom arrangement was rather dated. The bed was not as comformable as hoped, exceptionally firm. Those staying should be aware it is a handheld shower over bath setup which will be unsuitable for the alot of guests.
