The Grosvenor Stockbridge

Very nice hotel. We had a lovely top floor room with a wonderful bathroom and super comfy bed. All the staff were helpful and attentive.

Lovely location and evening Saturday.

Staff at breakfest looked stressed and were a little rude. Breakfast orders were wrong and we got moaned at for not ordering on time despite having sat at the table for an hour with no service. The breakfast was very nice however!

The dinner was ok but quite expensive

The room was so cold rad didnt work properly.The main problem was there was a wedding on which took over the place and considering it was Valentines night where people want a special evening it didnt work.All you could hear in the bar was noisy children and then a band.They were using the Library which was through the restaurant for the children so there constant coming and going.Then breakfast was a mess all tables taken or covered in dirty china - no one serving we gave up and went home.

Great location and facilities

Breakfast took 45 minutes to serve due to a wedding event, but we were overlooked having arrived before them. Staff were great, but slow service.

Lovely hotel, characterful, charming and comfortable. Lovely helpful staff. Arrived late and restaurant was closed but told me next time to call ahead and order a meal they could hold for me until my arrival time. Breakfast was really nice. Lots of options. Rainfall shower head divine.

That my stay was too brief!

Superb hotel - very tastefully furnished and equipped, friendly staff, good food and excellent value for money (at least in February!)

Its central location in the town is a bonus. It has been refurbished well with care and creates a calm refreshing place to stay.

The room was a little warm overnight, but manageable.

Location was great, and breakfast was really good.

There was a massive disconnect between the price of £185 for a single room and the value you receive in return. The room is small, Stockbridge isn’t London and it’s mid-winter.

Shown to room. Spacious bathroom with shower and underfloor heating which was hot in places. Large, thick towels. Comfy bed. Tea and coffee .

Room was hot, didn't find fan or windows until morning. No long mirror. Breakfast was slow.

The hotel is located in the middle of the high street and is perfect for our stay. The hotle is well managed and all staff are both pleasant and extremly well trained. The hotel has a feel of genuiue comfort with several features around the hotel that are well placed and very tasteful. I particularly liked the real candles lit at night and in the morning

nothing - maybe a slightly fuller pint when poured!

Our quiet spacious bedroom Massage Treatment with Gio Breakfast

It was very very warm especially in the rooms upstairs. Has to keep the window open. Limescale in the bedroom kettle Restaurant meal fell short - Cauliflower steak was undercooked so couldn’t eat half of it, the pudding was tasteless. A real shame!

Extremely comfortable, well equipped and nicely presented rooms in a historically interesting building, in turn in a lovely small town/village on the River Test. Breakfast and dinner menus both excellent, with good friendly service.But above all, the staff were brilliant. We had the misfortune of my wife (through no fault of the hotel) suddenly becoming seriously ill, resulting in hospitalisation; all the staff were very supportive, including the manager taking me to the hospital in his car (we did not have one). We are very grateful for the kindness shown.

Outstanding in everyway! Location is beautiful. Staff are so professional and friendly. Rooms are absolutely beautiful with every little extra touch you could think of. Would highly recommend

Very comfortable room, lovely shower room (underfloor heating!), good location.

Dogs. One jumped up at my chair as the owners were coming into breakfast. I realise this is largely out of the hotel's control.

Nice interior decor, with period features, decent choice of beverages in the rooms.

The staff seemed a little vague and didn't make any attempt to make us feel welcome.We asked the lady behind the bar what spiced rums they had in which she replied they are all on the top shelf and walked away.When we did finally order our drinks she couldn't remember what we asked for and continued asking several time what the order was.!First morning going into breakfast we were not welcomed or shown anything, the food was constantly running low and had to keep asking for items to be refilled.

Decor and atmosphere at Christmas

The cocktails were not quite up to the same standard as the year before. Although it was a great atmosphere, some of the christmas decorations were a bit sparse.

Very high standard. Lovely rooms. Charming staff and delicious breakfast
