Comfortable, spacious room, very clean

No response from reception during the night when there was an emergency in the room next door

We traveled from the United States for our daughter’s wedding and stayed for multiple days at this location. The staff was wonderful and very friendly. My husband has stayed here once prior and we will continue to book our stays here for any upcoming trips to the UK. Thank you to all staff for making our stay memorable and enjoyable.

Excellent check in and out.All staff we came in contact with reception, bar, dining were really friendly and helpful.Warm comfortable bed and clean room with balcony.

Absolutely west the hotel is very old and the conditioner doesn't work absolutely wasting money.

The location and the fact you could come back at any time during the evening/night.

That fact I had to pay £10 to park my car. Thought it terrible.

The room was very comfortable and, being at the back of the hotel, was lovely and peaceful with a view of the beautiful garden. On checking in, and throughout my stay, Krishna was very polite and helpful.

The staff were very helpful and accommodating. I organised a little paint and plonk get together for some friends and we had a lovely time. A lovely old hotel with upto date facilities, Clean room and comfy bed, in an area that has outstanding beauty.

Very good location at foot of box hill. Has a classy feel for what is priced as a budget hotel. Staff were very helpful and welcoming.

Got a ground floor with French doors that lead out to the gorgeous gardens. The staff was so friendly.

Bad maintenance now, has gone downhill since last stay some years ago. Room large but shabby, carpets paintwork, bathroom mould etc. Cold room with extra heater in the cupboard as it was cold, no insulation or double glazing. Grubby balcony with old litter on the floor. Hotel is unwelcoming, no atmosphere, few guests. Breakfast offering was miserable for £17.50 so we cancelled and asked for a refund. Pale uncooked bacon and sausage in tatty plastic containers, no healthy yogurts, fresh fruit, pastries etc. Would not stay again

I had to leave very early in the morning so had requested an email with my receipt. It still hasn’t been sent. Disappointing as the same thing happens earlier in the week
