Hotel Laterne

Couldn't ask for a better location. Very close to the Baden-Baden spas, casino, shopping, and park. Within 20 mins walk is the nature trail [Panoramaweg]. The hotel is VERY clean and the room had a great view of the Lowenbrau beer garden and the street.

No air conditioning, if that bothers uou. On 2nd floor above the street so if street noise bothers you ask for a room at the back. Waitresses in restaurant act as you check in staff. Don't expect a speedy checkin.

Great and spacious bedroom and bathroom. The breakfast was included, and an absolutely excellent way to start the day. The Christmas decorations are off the charts and add to the holiday atmosphere. Super close to the Christmas market, shops, cafes, and a pharmacy.???

Check-in was a little cramped. I guess regular lobbies are disappearing, so not a big deal.

The property was attached to a very cute restaurant right in the middle of town. The staff was super helpful and the bed was so comfortable. Really recommend this hotel.

Beautiful & quaint hotel in the heart of Old Town. Room #6 was so comfortable and a pleasure to stay in.A good buffet breakfast selection included hot egg & sausage. Excellent value for money.

Was a little difficult to navigate how to check in but someone from the restaurant saw us and came out to help get us checked in.

Everything was perfect including the perfectly spotless room.

Very difficult parking. We parked in the Congress garage which was a bit far and expensive then walked in.

The breakfast is very good and fresh. The staff are excellent.

No elevator which makes it difficult with luggage. Staff are more than willing to assist. The hotel does not have a/c and normally not needed except there was a heat wave. They provided a fan and free water.

The bed was huge and so comfortable. Had two comforters for one bed which was so nice to sleep with. The balcony was gorgeous overlooking a little busy square with restaurants and shops. It was shared and having the door open could be loud as there were buskers. The hotel was under construction and there was work going on at midnight. Upon arrival they had me down for 2 rooms by mistake and had to check with the coworker despite me having proof of conversation and reservation for one double room. It was very confusing to find check in and you enter the hotel through the restaurant.

Was just satires and my mum is a bit old and she just complained about her knee was hurting.

Checkin process was abysmal, the hotel staff are not real hotel staff, they are restaurant workers without hotel experience. The night was extremely loud from guests in a room above who would not quiet for hours leading into 1am. Because there was no on sight employee overnight and no contact phone for a manager, we had to call the police. If there was a fire or medical emergency, there is no staff to support in this. This is unprofessional and dangerous. I would not have booked this stay had I known that.

The location is superb. Close to the baths and local shops. Its also in walking distance of the Faberge museum, and restaurants. The room was very pretty. We had a front room with a balcony overlooking the small square outside. The bed was large and very comfortable.

At night for around 5 hours there is an extremely bright spotlight that is switched on lighting up the front of the building, it focused on the windows of our room. The curtains in the room do not completely cover the whole front of the room, barely covering the windows, so the light did come through. Additionally, it didn't feel private in the room due to the curtains not being big enough.

.The room was very spacious and the one we were placed in also had a kitchenette.

If you just happened to be here at Xmas as we were , choose another hotel. It was totally chaotic. A lot of stairs to get into the apartment.

Very nice right in town. Parking was close by! Staff was not so friendly but the place is really nice

Staff attention was the worst, we asked for a taxi a night before our departure early in the morning, the staff with not very good mood took all the data , she wrote, showed it to us , and in the morning the taxi did not arrive and we lost our train because we had to run to take a bus

The room (and all the facilities) were adorable. The location was great, right in the heart of old town in Baden Baden. Tasty breakfast options as well!

The hotel is very Bavarian, which is why I booked it. It’s decoration is very pretty

I felt let down because I booked this hotel specifically due to its traditional, Bavarian prettiness but on arrival they did not give us a room in the main hotel. They gave us a room/apartment across the square above a kebab shop. Nice but not pretty or Bavarian looking. I asked to be moved to the main hotel, and after a lengthy phone call they agreed.

It was the perfect location. Very comfortable rooms. I felt safe and welcomed being a solo traveler.

Great location, decent sized rooms, good shower and good Breakfast. Staff were very helpful.Garage parking available a 5 minute walk away.

Bath towels could be a bit bigger !
