Corner bath and location

£4 for a small bowl of veg to go with my £28 fillet steak was too much especially as they never made any effort to my request to make our anniversary special!

Location.

Reception is an odd set-up, had to walk through the restaurant to a closet-like desk usually with nobody there. The room had a funny chemical smell & you could not open the windows to air it out since they are painted shut. The hair dryer was broken.

Location fantastic.

Cock up with booking process. Didn't get the room we booked. Told we were getting a better room, but was over two floors with very low ceilings in the bathroom area. Shower had no screen so water went all over the floor. Very noisy pub opposite. Breakfast cancelled. Not best for money paid. Looked good on the website, not good in reality! One coat hanger in wardrobe, but fridge in room and large tv

Rooms are fine - comfy bed and a good bathroom. The location is exceptional. And the on site parking is perfect. Did not have breakfast. so, I can not comment on that.

The rooms was a bit shabby - curtains hanging off. The TV did not really work - interrupted signal.

Great location for the centre of Hitchin with it's many pubs and eateries, all amenities were within a short walk.I can highly recommend the vegan burrito from the Villare owners outlet, very tasty and filling, I loved the character of the room, a mix of Victorian four poster bed and furniture and a very modern bathroom (with bath and walk in shower) that was very spacious.

Unfortunately, my room was on the street side of the hotel so it was hard to ignore the noise on a Saturday night that went on past midnight. A real shame as almost everything else was fine, As someone else has commented, the shower was a bit too hot for me and couldn't be adjusted to any cooler. It was manageable but not ideal,

I was given an attic room with windows that did not open more than a crack. The air conditioner did not work. Temperature in the room was 38 degrees. There were no fans available. Conditions were so bad that it was impossible to sleep. The staff on site were willing to help me find another hotel but the manage refused to refund the cost of the room.

It was too hot to stay. The hotel manager/owner refused to help.

Close to my work. Plenty parking. Clean and comfortable

WiFi connection was not very good. Maybe just in that area.

I love staying at The Villare Hitchin Town Center, I use it regularly when I drive down to visit my youngest son and his girlfriend who live in Hitchin, very convenient, great location in the center of town, I love the history of the hotel ?

The room was very clean, with a huge bath tub, unfortunately it was next door to a very noisy family that kept.me awake at night. Sadly the view from the window was of the dustbin area. Overall not a bad place and certainly very good value for money ?

Real coffee for breakfast would be a huge improvement.

The lady who served our breakfast was lovely. She went out of her way to be helpful. The lady who met us and showed us our rooms was very obliging and we had a problem with one of our toilets which was swiftly fixed.

Nothing worth mentioning

The room I stayed in formed part of a converted 17th Century coaching inn. The room itself was huge with a king-sized double bed with memory foam mattress. Despite the main room having the original fireplace and roof timbers intact, the en suite bathroom was surprisingly very modern, as was the little kitchen - a bonus I wasn’t expecting. It also had a very large flat screen TV, super fast Wi-Fi and (a real blessing during my stay) air con. The entire place was spotless throughout - literally gleaming. To say I was happy is a massive understatement. But any business is only ever as good as the people who work there and, in that respect, the Villare truly excels. My undying thanks go to the lovely Moz for all her help in getting me through a very traumatic checking in day and my subsequent extended stay, the lovely Silvia for rescuing me at 6.30 in the morning when I locked myself out of my room, and the lovely Carol for her patience in helping me through my prolonged stay. The three ladies worked so hard and still nothing ever seemed to be too much trouble for them. It was such a pleasure to see them everyday and I am eternally grateful for all the good humour and kindness they showed to me. They made my stay at Villare a truly 10/10 experience,

Set in an old coaching house dating back 400 years, lots of original features.

Had to check in at the takeaway underneath. The 2 bedroom apartment I had booked was unavailable and they tried giving me a twin room which I refused so they had to give us 2 separate rooms. Breakfast was ok.

Near a Wetherspoons

I was a bit cold in the night and the heater wasn’t working and duvet very thin.

very little,but lady who was on duty was doing Her Best, so i give her full marks, We are from Ireland and maybe our standards are very high.

The room was so nice and clean. Everything was as described on the listing. Staff are also very friendly and helpful with 24hr helpline for any queries.

Central town location

This is not a Hotel, they just have numerous individual bedrooms, there is no dedicated reception as you have to book in at the Burrito Takeaway…….it took me 40 minutes as there was a long queue for takeaway customers. My room was on the 3rd flood with no lift and the noise from what I can only assume was the Boiler room was very annoying.

I stayed in room 15 with the four poster bed with my partner it was a magnificent room for are stay. On arrival we was allowed an early check-in. Highly recommend this hotel best one in Hitchin. 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
