The property was wonderful! The location was beautiful, and the view made it even better. The owner Steven was the perfect host, and he and his staff were very welcoming and attentive.

The resturant was excellent for breakfast, however, it was a bit pricy for dinner. It all tasted very delicious, however, it would have been nice to have some price levels to choose from.

We loved the place and we will go back again! The stuff was wonderful, the food in the restaurant, the common areas, the cozy bedroom...

Everything was great!

Our room was upgraded to a comfy king bed with a beautiful view of Pamlico Sound. Coffee was available every morning at 7 a.m. and yummy cookies at 3 p.m every afternoon. Staff was courteous and accommodating.

From the moment I get out of my car.. warm cookies, attentive professional yet Island laid back people, nature & a wonderful Room with a view & comfortable bed too stretch out on until I went for dinner which was EXCELLENT!! Scallops Carbonara ?

The wind was strong so I didn't get to walk the grounds & It made for some unexpected noises through the night ?.. unfortunately!

We love this place! The warm welcome upon arrival by the owner, professional staff, amazing breakfast, the room and fine linens, the property and lovely sunsets! The evening ambiance with award winning dinners! Would highly recommend staying here! We have found a hidden gem!

The property was right on the Sound, which was lovely. It seems to be a gathering place as they had live entertainment in the evening. The cafe was a real convenience with breakfast complementary. Pool available.

Everything was fine

The view to the sound was outstanding. The food was delicious and the staff are incredibly friendly.

Amazing experience — we used the included kayak and SUP and enjoyed the fantastic breakfast. Extraordinarily solicitous and pleasant staff.

The room was a little small

Lovely room with beautiful view. Great attention to detail. Friendly accommodating staff. Awesome dining option on the property with delicious meals. We will definitely return!

The room was comfortable and inviting with a nice view. I liked there was a connection to the restaurant without having to go outside. Really liked the duel headed shower idea.

The front of the place gave the impression of a low rated inn. It caused us to feel unsure about the place. But the inside was cozy.Lastly, the main light in our room didn’t turn on

The view of the sound, the boardwalk, deck and firepit. Great breakfast included. The restaurant at the inn was perfect after a long drive. Food was delicious. Yoga on the patio and a very cute outdoor pool.

A little room refresh would go a long way in this very cute inn.

Excellent breakfast. Calm location. Breathtaking views of the sunset from the room.

Prices are a bit on the high side for room and diner.

nothing rude and smelly staff. we left because of a number of things. and let them keep our money. not worth the stay to us we went somewhere else and had a great time!

I liked that it was down on the southern end of the outer banks. Nice and quiet there. The inn is quant and the rooms are nice. Being on the sound side was not conducive to swimming. Also there is a constant pungent smell on the sound side.

The owner was arrogant. He didn’t like me questioning the bill. I felt like we were black listed after that and the service became very slow. For example we waited at the hostess stand at the restaurant in front of the hostess for several minutes without being spoken to. It was like we were invisible. We were the only guests there at the time! The owner told us more than once that the restaurant on the property was the best one in the area We ate breakfast and dinner there and the food was average but very expensive. The next evening we drove down the road a few blocks and got delicious shrimp at half the price

Absolutely a dream. I am so happy I took the chance of staying on the Bay Side of the island. The Inn on Pamlico Sound is an absolute treasure, I felt almost like I was on another planet. The sky & the ocean were nearly the same color & I took break-taking photos! The breakfast, cookies, jacuzzi tub, bathrobes (we bought one to take home!), resort clothing (I bought two soft hoodies) the VIEW & staff were the highlights!

I would be advised it is a newlywed destination… the couple above us had a really fun night, thankfully my 17 year old son found it humorous. ;)

The breakfast was delicious, we did not have to add any seasoning to the food it was perfect. Our hostess Willow which we had both mornings was a wonderful, sweet, excellent person. We loved her personality, so much, she was so helpful and also the most beautiful smile.

Our hot tub in our room was not working, the last night we were there my husband figured out that the outlet had to be reset. We are on our honeymoon and that would have been wonderful to use.
