Loved the room and general decor of the hotel.

Dinner service was poor and waited 45mins just to receive drinks. Then ordered sirloin steaks medium rare and when it eventually arrived was, well done so ended up ordering a delivery as not happy with food. The hotel did give us complimentary drinks and was apologetic. I don’t believe this is the norm and probably a bad day for them.

Very comfortable bed, good size of room.

Bad signs towards the spa/pool/gim and no acces from inside of the hotel, no fridge in the room, Noisy fan/heater, the shower was driping. No bath in a upgraded room.

Location good. Room nice and quiet and on ground floor. Staff helpful. We ate in the bar and enjoyed the food. Found quiet corners to be in, in old minstrel's gallery. Lots of parking.

Had to go outside to get to swimming pool, I thought it might be accessible from the hotel. Restuarant menu looked overpriced and not what we wanted to eat particularly. (Restuarant looked empty in early evening both nights).

It was very nice and clean rooms were very sizable.

The staff at this establishment were incredibly helpful. Their assistance was both prompt and courteous, making my experience truly pleasant. They went above and beyond to ensure that all my needs were met, which was greatly appreciated. The level of service they provided was exceptional and exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this place.

Staff were so friendly. I arrived quite late and was dying for some chocolate but they didn't sell any bars, only served chocolate puddings. The two bar staff went on a chocolate cookie hunt for me to find the chocolate versions of the cookies you get in the rooms. It's a small thing but it was very sweet. Other than that, the hotel was clean and comfortable. The lounge area had a lot of personality and a log burner which was cosy and atmospheric. Having access to the Nuffield was great, lovely to have a morning swim and sauna before breakfast. Breakfast felt a bit pricey but i think if i was eating at a cafe or something the price would have been the same. The quality was nice, I had poached eggs on buttery, chivey sourdough and it was lovely. Lots of parking and easy to get to.

Breakfast service was a little bit slow, there was only me and one other family in there and I had to go and find someone to order off the menu. To be fair, maybe I was supposed to go and find someone to order, I just assumed table service as there were menus on the table.

Super helpful and polite staff. Room was immaculate, evening meal was delicious.

Modern room looked newly refurbed, nice size with everything needed and more. Netflix, Desk, Coffee Machine. Great breakfast

We were the first to stay in the ex-bridal suite - the room was amazing! Massive and all fresh/new. All the facilities in the room were great for a family - space for all our bits / drinks / washes / towels.Breakfast was amazing - so much choice and all dietary requirements were listed clearly.Such a peaceful hotel.

It looks a tad like a old people's home. Poor customer service and staff quality issues. The female receptionist was lovely.

No instructions on how to work the heating.Our towels were removed but only replaced by one bath towel which we had to share (there were two of us).

The Queen suite was fantastic value for 4 people staying. We had ample space. The only issue was a lot of stairs to climb for my mum with a bad back, so, would be good to state this on the booking page. Great breakfast. Thank you

I couldn't really fault this hotel , the rooms were spotless and comfortable with good facilities . A really comfortable bed and the shower was excellent , better than you find in most hotels . Breakfast offerings were excellent ranging from cereals and toast through continental to full English which was fresh and good quality ingredients . The staff were very friendly and helpful and on hand 24 hours if needed . The lounge area was a nice and cosy place to sit and have a drink in front of a log burner . The only downtick for us was the pool access , they told us it was closed for 2 days due to an accident , as we stayed Xmas day and boxing day I found this a bit of a convenient excuse . But overall very pleased with the hotel.

The staff were very accommodating as I was after a 12:00 check out. The rooms are lovely as been renovated now. The water is expensive!! Food is great, burger was divine, breakfast is good value as kids are free. Location is great as not a bad walk to the train station.

Only one big bottle of water in the room, went down to get more and got charged 15 gbp for 4 cans of water!!Cost overall is a little pricey
