The River Inn offers warm hospitality in a great neighborhood, walking distance to Georgetown, Dupont Circle and George Washington University. Our room was spacious, the bed was comfortable and the neighborhood is quiet. We had breakfast in the hotel restaurant, and got great service.

The air conditioner was older and a bit noisy.

Amazing value for price, great location, we felt super safe there, walking distance from the White house, the staff was kind and helpful, the hotel and the rooms are beautiful and clean

Spacious and quiet room in a great location. The staff were professional, responsive, and helpful throughout my stay. I especially appreciated their quick responses to inquiries, and how they handled a lost item after I checked out — I had left my phone behind, and they offered to ship it back without charging any service fees, simply asking me to provide a FedEx label. Communication was smooth and timely, and the phone arrived safely. That level of follow-through really stood out and made me feel cared for as a guest.

Housekeeping could be more attentive. Despite leaving a tip, utensils were not properly cleaned and coffee supplies (like sugar substitutes) were not replenished on the third service day.

We stayed in a Queen studio room for three people. The room was spotlessly clean, spacious, and comfortable. The kitchenette was adequate for a hotel. The master bed was very comfortable, the sofa bed wasn't so comfortable, but it was manageable for one or two nights. The hotel offered a complimentary breakfast for an extra price -something like 20-25 dollars- but we didn't try it. The area is quiet, clean, and safe. The staff is courteous and helpful. The National Mall and its attractions are a 20-minute walk away.There is a big market in a short walking distance.

A breakfast included plan for the rooms would be a good option
