The location is great.

The room is not that clean.One morning, I woke up at 5am by the sound of the pipe(I’m not sure) it does sound like motorbike. I thought to myself that I was haunted.

Great hotel for a short stay. Walking distance from all of the main attractions. Possibility to store your luggage out of charge if you are a hotel guest.

The location is very good. Close to all the places I needed to visit. It is a dated hotel - so had a bathtub in the room, which was great. Also, I could open the window and enjoy the fresh air, a rare option in US hotels!

Dated decor, could be updated. Lightbulbs in my room were burnt, and only one worked...

Lobby staff was nice, check in was easy. We also enjoyed the bar that was open late. Great location to walk to many places and explore the city. No frills - but was expected in the cost (the value of the location was worth it).

We knew this going in, but the hotel is very outdated and feels/looks old. Small bathroom (again - it's an old building), and small room without air conditioning (which again - we knew this going in). We wished there was a way to get valet - but understand that's probably not at this level of hotel. The staff was helpful on where to park overnight.

Incredible location, walking distance to the metro station, the mane attractions like White House, United States Capitol and Capitol Hill, The Lincoln Memorial, Smithsonian Museums , beautiful streets and building. Not to many places to eat around the hotel. A good price taking into account the position of the hotel. A hotel with a lot of history.

Close to shops and attractions.

The rooms were VERY old and outdated no air-conditioning very dusty and Mouldy. Everything was old.Shower leaked toilet leaked. Room smelt old. TV was terrible.Housekeeping was amazing and friendly ?.

the best thing about this hotel is the location. very central, 10-20 minutes walk from all the sights in DC, which makes all the money (especially if you are staying for a few days and don't want to waste time on the subway). very civilized area, with many restaurants, shops, pharmacies, bank and anything you need. the hotel also has a decent restaurant with average food, very frequented by locals.

the hotel is very old and gives you the feeling that it has not been modernized for 100 years. the air conditioning is terrible. it couldn't be stopped so the plumber came and put duct tape on the vent. the elevators for the upper floors (6-11) were not working, so we used a service elevator located behind the restaurant. unrenovated rooms, very old bathrooms, but at least cleanliness. hotel with a history of over 100 years, but unfortunately the conditions are far below expectations.

Location, very close to museums, white house etc, restaurants, tours.food very close,breakfast and lunch , bar at night, next door.

The A C, you can hear sometimes the people next room.

Location is excellent. Reasonably priced.
