The staff were mostly polite and friendly.
I could hear other guests unpacking and opening and closing doors and drawers and their pets barking while I was in my room. I could hear the elevator singing constantly while resting in my room. I got three terrible nights of sleep while staying there and will never stay again.

Clean room, really nice common areas
Terrible service in Capriccio Grill: the “no reservations for breakfast” was a lie; we waited for omelets for 30 min. Swimming pool did not work, and the message about pool being closed due to “special service” was a lie too.

Loved this hotel so much. The location was fantastic, facilities were great, and the hotel overall is really lovely. The ducks made it even better.

Lovely lobby and bar/restaurant areas.
As the most elegant and high priced hotel downtown Memphis, it’s an excusable that the shower was not workable, the handles and fixtures in the shower or flopping all over, and the faucet handles on the bathroom sink where either loose or improperly fitted. Plus the showerhead is more than 7 feet off the floor so one could not adjust it unless far taller than I. Also, there is absolutely no signage or attendant when you pull up to the address GPS has and the hotel uses for its street address. It took 30 minutes to figure out how to find the garage, and I never did find the circular drive and main entrance. There is not one sign to guide a new visitor.

Room was clean.
The bathroom was super small- felt like they put a toilet in as an after thought. Very crammed. The beds were so high, i could barely get up on them.Totally overated! Not for the simple folk!

The location is good. The hotel is classic and quite nice in common areas. 24:7 dining options and Room service was nice.
To be quite honest, I was quite disappointed in my stay. I was recommended the Peabody by a family member with high praises. I’m not sure what happened with my stay. The staff was very friendly on check-in, then when I arrived in the room, there was a loud beeping noise coming from the Maintenance or vending area across the hallway from my room, however, they fixed that quickly. It all really fell apart once you start looking inside of the room. There were stains on the mattress cover, stains all over the bed skirt, the bathroom shower leaked the entire time, the toilet was not clean and had “residue”- we will say- all over, there were paint chips all around the bathroom, the vanity was rocking and had come off the wall, the outlets in the bathroom did not work, and the closet smelled like cat urine. I have no interest in posting a bad review without talking to the staff and letting them know everything going on, but the response that I received when checking out is what brought me to posting this. I told the front desk clerk snd told her I had photos and videos to explain and she immediately had a glazed response and said “ I’m sorry ma’am, would you like a copy of your receipt?” Completely disrespectful. That is the response that I would expect from a large chain at a much lower price point. Given the price point and the reputation of the Peabody I expected much more.
