Comfort Inn Carmel By The Sea

The location was excellent.

The lamps outside each room were on all night which wouldn't have been a problem if the black out curtains were floor to ceiling. Instead they were short curtains that only covered the windows letting in light above and below.

Great location and parking. Cute little place, beautiful flowers.

I do not like the floors. I just prefer carpet.

Parking is limited in lot, but there's no problem finding street parking.Thin walls, you can hear other guests, but not much you can do about the build

The room was very clean. The location was great. It was very quaint and charming.

The toilet was broken. You had to turn the water on and off each time you used it. Breakfast was not served until 8 am and was so so. The staff was not very friendly. Waiting for breakfast delayed our trip and you could not find anyone to checkout.

Very old and provided little to no parking. At check in we were told that we could park across the street in an area marked "NO Parking". We paid $--- for a Monday night

Hotel location was very convenient. It was a small walk from the shopping areas and had a convenient beach access. There was some outdoor seating which is great if the weather is nice. My room was very clean.

Affordable for Carmel.

We booked a Queen sized bed but we¿re given a double. The thermostat was broken in the room and instead we had a portable heater/fan thing that periodically made horrible mechanical noises like it was broken.

Proximity to downtown. Pleasantly surprised by how quaint it was with great staff!

The hotel is cute and very near to everything downtown. Very walkable. Staff is nice and room was clean and updated.

The location was great. It apparently had been renovated recently.. so it was neat and clean for a hotel that old..

Old plumbing and thin walls with children all around us made it a sleepless night.. that and the horrible square lumpy pillows...

No air conditioning!! I understand that it usually doesn't get too hot in Carmel, but please at least have the option of an A/C unit for the room. The provided fan did nothing but blow hot air. Trying to sleep while sweating is horrible.

Great location. Great staff. Clean. Price good given the location. Newly remodeled floors and walls.

Needs new furniture. Oddly placed. Missing night stands. No outlet near the coffee maker. Paper thin walls. If neighbor is watching TV so are you. Remodel done on the cheap. Holes in bathroom grout hint at where mold will grow. The Motel 66 of Carmel.

They were so kind and accommodating ..especially during our stay while this horrible Covid-19 is taking place. Carmel is a beautiful place that we have never been and hopefully we will be back to walk the beach and stay again! Thank you so much.Stay Well

Fantastic location, easy parking, the bed was really comfortable and the room had everything we needed (coffee maker, fridge, etc...)

Location, good breakfast in the morning and relatively clean it's an old hotel that has had some face lifts .

Lack of parking, thin walls and older place , mattress seemed older too.

Walking distance to everything including shopping, restaurants and the beach. On-site parking at no additional charge and lovely rooms. The hotel is very well-kept, which fits in perfectly with the town. I would stay at this hotel for all my trips back :)
