DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel London - Hyde Park

As expected comfortable but no frills. Manager did his best with issue below.

They entered me as a no show and know i cant claim back the expense as they cant give me a receipt.

Convenient and public transport was very accessible.Staff was very helpful and they treated my two young boys really well

The toilet kept on getting jammed by toilet paper and would not flush

The self serve hot breakfast was very tepid and certainly not hot! Fruit juice was watery and the pastries were tired and not the freshest. Toiletries were empty in the shower, switch cover by the bed came off and the toilet roll holder was broken. One of the lifts was out of order.

The housekeeping staff cleaned the room very well. + The room size was acceptable, and the check-in process was smooth, fast, and excellent.

I booked two rooms, a single and a double. While the double room was perfect, the single room does not include slippers or a hair dryer.

Expensive, parking for one night £40Breakfast, staff were busy doing nothing constructive, food all run out, no knifes and forks, no glasses, no bread. Breakfast was just unorganised chaos.

The gentlemen at reception were very friendly and welcoming.

The cleaning team was non reactive, I called to inform the shower gel in the shower was actually empty and no one came to re fill it. Then when I asked for a bag like a laundry bag they told me they did not have any bags!

The staff was very helpful kind specially Mr.ali was very helpful and generous

Breakfast was average and location was okay.

My socks were dirty walking around the room one of the days of my stay. And in the bathroom there was a smell and around the plug hole there was dark brown stains as was in the back of wc. Under the bed was thick with dirt and there wasa pair of black socks from a previous guest covered in dirt and fluff goodness knows the last time the under the bed was cleaned. Head house keeper came to ask if my room was okay she said that the smell was coming from drains and that she would get her staff to give the room a good clean the next day. The stains were still in the sink and the wc the next day when i came back to the hotel that's when i noticed the dirt under the bed i did not get to speak to the house keeper until the following day as she was on a day off. I asked why the stains were still in the sink and the wc and she it was because she had a day off and said that she told me that she would get her staff deep clean the bathroom. She kept walking away from me while i was talking to her which i found rude. I mentioned about the dirt under bed and she did send someone down immediately. Every day the hotel gave you two cans of water on the last i hat to ask for it i think she you was pissed off with me not very professional.

The staff were lovely helpful and very welcoming. The room was nice and clean. The hotel was very well placed to get to the places we wanted to visit.Breakfast was lovely with lots of choice and once again staff were really nice.

The heating was a little hard to work out.There was no decafinated tea ( plenty of coffee but no tea). These were minor things but if you can't drink caffeine and like a cuppa it was a bit disappointing.

The hotel was in a fantastic location and the staff were very friendly.

The bed was very uncomfortable. The mattress was loud and you could feel the springs when you slept. The pillows were very thin and felt poor quality.

Breakfast was fine. The location is very convenient to reach the major attractions of the city.

There was no hairdryer in my room, hopefully the reception personnel helped me to find one. There are no slippers in the room. No cotton pads, cotton buds etc. The services are below than I expected from Hilton. The bed was super small and very uncomfy. Our room was next to a fire door. So we woke up very frequently due to the squeaky sounds of the door.

The breakfast was very good. The staff were very helpful.and welcoming. The location is beautiful.

I found the shower difficult to.use and to regulate the temperature.

Well located opposite Hyde Park. The room was adequate in size.

Some of the front office staff need to be a bit more receptive and friendly. Breakfast is modest.TV channel connections are too few; many of the free-view channels cannot be viewed.In general, front desk and dining area service standards need to be looked into. Not good enough for the price.

Staff were friendly and apologetic

Very poorly managed hotel.Upon check in on 26 Nov, discovered kettle was broken.No housekeeping for 2 days despite repeated reminders to careline and reception. I had to make a fuss at reception before it was even done. Even when finally done, items such as facial tissue and toilet paper were not replaced and bathroom was poorly cleaned.Again on 1 Dec room was not cleaned despite repeated reminders.No water provided, staff claimed no stock. What extremely poor inventory management. Just an apology provided, no alternative or compensation offered.Staff informed manager not in, and then said he was in a meeting. This was on 28 Nov 12pm. I called again at 5pm, staff informed said manager was in a meeting. What a long meeting! Requested a call back from said manager at end of day and staff acknowledged, and no surprises here, still no call.On 30 Nov I requested for Nespresso pods to be replaced daily, no replacement was given. I called Careline,waited an hour, still no replacement. Only after a second call did I get it, and it was only 2 out of 3 pods. After that,no more replenishment as they claim out of stock.Still no call from manager on 1st Dec.What an embarrassment to the doubleTree name.

The location was perfect as you are very close to 3 underground stations which give you access to central, circle and district lines. This makes getting anywhere and getting back to the hotel much quicker and very easy. The staff were very friendly and helpful with any questions or and very quick to sort any problems we had. We also loved that outside the hotel seemed quiet except for many dog walkers making it safe when heading out for a smoke or a vape. The food served at breakfast and dinner were also very good. You have to try their crispy hash browns! Also the free cookies are a beautiful touch. The reception area instantly feels homely from the smell of fresh baked cookies. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.
