I love this hotel. The rooms are spacious very clean. They have new beds and mattresses. The location is excellent. The staff are very nice. I just love this hotel. I stay there a lot. It's great value for money.

I have been there quite a few times this time I drove down from Smithfield, Virginia and I forgot my license and had quite a hard time checking in. That was disappointing considered I've been there many times I'm saying that my friend did come and sign me in, but it did take a few hours.

The location, oceanfront, affordability in comparison to similar hotels in the area. The hot tub was a cool feature in the room and the kitchenette area was spacious enough to prepare our snacks for the beach.

The beds were so hard I couldn’t believe it. My own bed is on the more firm side at home but this bed was an absolute brick. Woke up with the worst sore back. The pillows are half sized. Almost the size of throw pillows. Shutting doors doesn’t mean anything in regard to keeping noise out from outside. Convenient location but definitely not a peaceful one. Check if your stay overlaps with any events on the beach before booking. We found out at 7:45am about a surf competition unfortunately. Commentators and buzzer sounds were as loud as if they were in the room with us. and The airplanes! Also had no idea that at the crack of dawn we would hear airplanes so close that it felt like they would fly into the building. It was scary at first then we kind of got used to it.

I was Oceanside on the sixth floor and thoroughly enjoyed the room and especially the view. The room was surprisingly large and was an efficiency, so had everything I needed. Although I was close to the elevator I heard very little noise inside. Only minor hassle was the noise from the outside as there was a monster truck event! But that added an extra touch to the vacation and was fine. Overall an outstanding place to stay location wise and budget wise. I’ve been staying here for many years. Also enjoyed the pool, which was also a nice touch. Front desk people very pleasant and accommodating!

All of the staff we encountered were very polite and nice.

The mini fridge made an annoying noise, according to my BF the hotel can't help that. Also the beds were comfy but laying on them made ya hot.

I absolutely enjoyed my stay. A great value and location at the end of the boardwalk. Beautiful ocean views. Beautiful sunrises/sunsets. The room was very clean, beds comfortable, and the bathroom shower head was a big plus. There was an issue with the TV, but maintenance arrived quickly and resolved the issue. The staff was helpful and friendly. Free parking was a plus. Local restaurants are walkable and great. I am definitely going back to stay here again. If you're looking for a nice clean room at a great price, book here. The small fridge, stove top and microwave were a super plus. Dishes/pan/pot included! Highly recommended ?? ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Its location was ideal, offering a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere. Customer service was exceptional. The room's cleanliness exceeded expectations. Compared to previous Virginia Beach hotels, the Schooner surpasses all others. I will be a returning guest.Being there doing the Christmas season was a plus......

The room was spacious with floor to ceiling glass, had tremendous natural light, black out curtains for sleeping, a balcony with chairs, a refrigerator that kept things really cold, access to a microwave and a small table to eat at. The staff was responsive when I had an issue with the toilet and it was quickly resolved. Parking was free and convenient. I would stay here again.

The bed and pillows could have been more comfortable.

Location is excellent. We love that it is at the end of the boardwalk so it is less hectic. If someone has children the park is great.

The room had a weird smell? Couldn't figure out what it was. Not that it was necessarily bad but odd.
