Pros +
- Given the current national situation we liked the fact that the rooms were completely separate from the pub and that we therefore did not need to go in there during our stay. Very clear action by staff to maintain the correct procedures.
- Price and value for money
- Breakfast was very good
Cons -
- Only that the TV remote battery was dead....so nothing really.
- Being an American, I found the space around the bed a little tight. This would have been much more problematic if I had been sharing the room
- Bathroom was very basicWhen eating dinner the customers placed at the table next to us were very annoying and inappropriate in a public place.

Very nice and clean room, perfect for a stop. We stayed for one night only, but we do not havr any complain
Great staff. Quiet
A little more out of the way than I thought
The breakfast and service was excellent we really enjoyed our full breakfast. The evening meals on both nights were excellent really tasty and well presented all of us really enjoyed them. Our room was perfect with a separate room for my friend's Teenage granddaughter and a really large comfortable and clean bed with well appointed lights and sockets by the bed. Good tea and coffee facilities and a large TV, cleans towels, hand soap and body/shampoo next to the bath. one of the best family rooms we have stayed in. The customer service was excellent and we would use the Hotel /Pub again.
Slight problem with the Key ring and door locks but this was rectified immediately by the helpful member of staff right away.
Very good price. Small room but it had everything you could possibly need. Lovely staff. Large free car park.
The bathroom was a bit dated. Also, through no fault of the hotel whatsoever, we had some very noisy neighbours in the room directly above us.
The staff at the hotel were kind and helpful. The room was spacious, modern and comfortable and have everything you need for the night. Also was very clean. Would stay here again
Lovely pub and food. Nice accomodation and location with convenient shop next door too.
Bed was large but seem to be made by two beds put together which left hard lump area in the middle. A more firm mattress or just a normal double would have been better.
I have stayed here a few times and now feel the rooms could do with a refresh, bedside lights not working, bathroom could do with a thorough clean cobwebs next to the shower, plug hole looked grimey. On the plus side staff are lovely and breakfast was really good
Loved the food staff simplicity of checking in the only thing we didn’t like was the lack of fans or air con in the rooms
Very nice location and hotel and pub
Small ish room but still ok
Breakfast was delicious and of good portions. Location was ideal, as it was located close to my family.
Bed was comfortable, space at side of bed was very narrow, with a shelf on the wall at one side which I hurt my back on squeezing past.Bathroom was quite dirty, with a very nasty smell coming from the shower tray, which filled up to almost overflowing.
Very friendly staff; easy to find with plenty of parking space. Staying in the annexe meant it was quieter than being over the pub which I liked and the room was clean and well presented with all you needed for a short stay. The bed was also super comfy!! Slept very well. I had dinner in the pub and the food was very tasty and a good range of choice.
While everything was clean the bathroom decor was a little tired (tiles around the bath) and there must have been a condensation issue with some paint bubbles in corners of the bedroom but to be honest so small it didn’t feel ‘unclean’ and can be easily fixed. As a solo traveller I also would have preferred a better security option on the door like a chain or option to lock the yale / handle from the inside - not sure if mine was faulty because no matter what I did the door didn’t seem to lock securely to prevent access (albeit someone would have to have the key to open the door) but I just would like a little more ‘secure feeling’ - that sense of I’m locked in / door bolted kind of thing when you’re travelling alone and in a strange place.
The room was warm, well appointed, great comfortable bed and big TV! bathroom was clean and plenty of towels provided.
Corner room 2 large windows with lights on outside all night, not the worst but not ideal!
The main pub looked traditional warm and welcoming.
The food was poor, the bedroom was run down, tiered and old, the bed was clean but the floor was poorly hoovered. When the room upstairs showered, water dripped onto my bed!
Room was fit for purpose and good value. had an evenin meal with a voucher which made meal good value for money.
Wouldn't have found the meal good value at the full price.
Confey beds room size was Fab
