Beautiful location, comfortable room, lovely tea service, friendly staff.

Breakfast was too expensive for what we received.

The staff and service were second to none! From the very nice welcome (and delicious complimentary drink) as soon as we walked in the front door to the oceanfront lovely breakfast on our departure day, everything was perfect! It is quite clear that the staff want to provide the best service possible. The property is perfectly located right in the middle of everything we did (golf course, cathedral and castle). The room was beautiful and very comfortable as well. They even offered several complimentary snacks/drinks. Would return in a heartbeat and recommend gladly! Thanks for a superb stay!

The only thing I would say is that finding the property was a little confusing coming into a new town and with the signage/construction signs on The Scores road. The sign on the front of the hotel was not really big enough to see from the road. We got lucky and got a parking space and found our way but it was a little tricky.

The property is well located within an easy walk to the golf courses, the beach and the city center. The staff is friendly and helpful. The bar was well-stocked and Matthew and his team was knowledgeable and attentive. The breakfast menu is diverse and delicious.

We were on the top floor and did not have a straight wall on the outside of the room. As a result, I could not stand up on that side of the room or easily get in and out of bed without hitting the ceiling. Quite uncomfortable.

Complicated layout not helped by lack of internal signage/property map eg no signage for directions to Reception. Room number 311 ridiculously small for a couple.

The room was very cold, and the socket did not work to charge my electronic devices. When I mentioned these issues at check out I was told that I should have been shown how to operate the temperature controls and told about the socket when I was shown the room. Not particularly helpful.

Nothing to dislike. Perfect location, amazing staff, comfortable rooms, everyone was so accommodating.

Few teething issues as new hotel . Would wait a few months until they sort out logistics. Surprising as would have thought an expensive hotel would have prepared more rigorously.

Over priced, lift stuck when we were in it, only one milk for coffees for two people for two nights, no bar - it was closed on second night so no food, charged more than the booking £390 not £380, charged my wife for breakfast on first day when booking was bed and breakfast, no VAT invoice given by hotel when we left, no refund given for extra breakfast cost, the place very tired needs complete refurbishment. Should have offered compensation. Can't get any replies to emails

Great location, comfortable room/beds. Welcoming staff.

The lift broke just after we arrived and with mobility issues it was difficult for me to use the stairs, thankfully we were on first floor! Cleanliness in bathroom could have been better, long hair on floor, bath grouting cracked and black mould around edge, quality of toilet paper not great.

no staff manning the desk. Had to look for someone when we checked in. Room was horrible. damp on the ceiling, several holes that had been filled in but not painted. stained sheets. paint coming off on the bath. dirty shower head. not quiet, could hear everything from the room above.

Price was a little high and didn't come with breakfast and the rooms were comfortable but do need to be refurbished.

we were locked out of our room on the second night and when we got back at 10pm there was no one manning the hotel. No one appeared until 7am, so not a good stay!
